Mr. Heartbreak
not if they are safely relocated with new identities and the $$$...Exactly. He could give Skyler the coordinates, or even just tell her they are on the fridge. Saul could have the vacuum cleaner guy take care of them all, and they could just return to get the money at any time. This is, of course, assuming that Gomie, Hank and Jesse all bite the dust, and that the Aryan Nation goons don't therefore learn about the money there in the desert.Somehow, I can't help thinking it will be darker than that, but who knows? RaspberryJam
Ok, ok....I love reading all of the speculation, knowing that it will probably be something no one has mentioned yet!! Now, I have the chance to see Deer Tick on Sunday, but I'm almost reluctant to go! I know, I can set the DVR, but there's something about being part of the zeitgeist. KevinG
pure speculation... 1) hank and gomie die...jesse lives...2) case against walt evaporates...3) cartel kills marie, jessie, and todd because they don't need them...3) new cartel forces walt to cook...4) walt wants out for him adn his family...walt stages his demise - trashes house / spray paints heisenberg on wall...4) walt contacts the "vacuum" relocation service and has family relocated to New Hampshire...with his money...5) walt's cancer progressively gets worse...6) walt returns to get revenge on cartel...lures them into trap...walt kills cartel...walt turns himself in to get feds off of his family after he has taken the ricin...thereby effectuating how he will go out on his terms... That is way, way too much to cram in 3 freaking episodes. There is just too much tension between Hank and Walt to let it end with him dying in the shoot out. Also Todd has become too interesting for him die as well, there is too much between him and Lydia. But Gomie is gone for sure, as well as Uncle Nazi and Devil from Justified. Jessie makes out as well. But ends up on the run thinking everyone else is dead. But I cannot wrap my head around anything else. I mean there are only 3 freaking episodes left. I just hope they wrap everything up and don't have a cop out ending.
Mr. Heartbreak
I have real confidence in Vince Gilligan, who wrote the final episode (though he says, with typical humility, that the upcoming Ozymandias is his favorite episode of the series). He did say that the writers satisfied themselves and Bryan Cranston said that the series ends in a "very unapologetic and appropriate" fashion. That's good enough for me. Cannot wait to see how it all plays out.

Walt had them with him as of the end of last week's episode. He read off the coordinates to the nazis over the phone. Depending on how the aftermath of the shootout plays out, he could lose them and the money could remain buried.

winterland121072
looking for a satisfying ending as well....I was so disappointed with Lost....but I loved the Sopranos ending (Tony was shot)... Can you imagine how awesome Lost would have been if it had been an HBO show?

jff
Good catch!Surely, Walt, Jessie, Gomez and Hank won't ALL die. All of them know the money is in that general area, but nobody else does (that we know of). Someone will get to keep the cash and it'll be interesting to see who that'll be. Maybe the nazis get their hands on it somehow.

Mr. Heartbreak
Confirmation from Vince Gilligan that Jesse makes it out of the desert alive: "I think there’s a scene with Aaron Paul that just made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. It’s one we’ve already seen out in the desert when he says to Walt, ‘Why don’t you just tell me the truth and say that you want me to leave because otherwise you’re going to kill me.’ There’s another one coming up two episodes from now with Aaron Paul [during the final three], which I will not say what happens but it is an electrifying moment of acting." Magnetized
So. . . that song. "Say goodbye to everything." I can't quite pull it all together, but I think Walt's apparently inexplicable cruelty to Jesse and to Skyler are part of his last shred of humanity coming through. Clearly he doesn't want anyone who's meant anything to him to have any conflicted feelings of loyalty to him. Like Scarface, he is The Bad Guy and he's owning it. He thought he had a hope of keeping things together with his family, but once he realized how completely broken his relationship was (the knife, Junior calling the cops) he did the most unforgivable things he could do. But not really. He's giving Skyler an alibi and the baby is safe.
Magnetized
As I think more about it, that phone call was definitely well thought out on Walt's part, and Skyler picked up on what he was doing. The abused wife, terrorized by her husband, and she played along. He was brokenhearted.

Cam Jones
how do all of you feel about people posting about it on facebook? there's an endless battle in my circle of friends who say "DONT POST ABOUT IT ON FACEBOOK I HAVENT SEEN IT YET" But isn't it a rule of thumb to stay away from the internet or not look at statuses related to that kind of thing until you do see it? I mean this show has its own Reddit for gods sake
Mr. Heartbreak
Some people just have no impulse control. They want to watch a show in their own time, but then they expect everyone else to conform to their schedule. I would make a point of posting spoilers to that person's timeline as a not-so-subtle way of saying, 1) "You don't control the world," and 2) "If you don't want to know what happened, then don't read articles about it or go on social media, jackass." Then I would smile after they unfriended me. As for last night, was that one of the best hours of TV in history, or what? I think Wilco Me is right: Walt was giving his family what he could by trying to absolve Skyler, knowing he is going to use the vacuum guy and hit the road while he can. The Amber Alert would have put an APB out on him big time - though the description "beat-up, piece-of-shit pickup" might not narrow it down much - so he knew it was time to go. So it's possible that his immediate family may all survive, but not in the current residence. Still hard to predict which way that will go, and how the home will end up abandoned and vandalized if no one is killed there. I'm at the point where I am borderline obsessed with this show and all its minutiae. It's almost embarrassing. I haven't been this preoccupied with a series, anxiously awaiting and enjoying each episode, since The Sopranos. And, due to the hit-or-miss quality of some of the episodes of that show in later seasons, I'm thinking BB may end up being better in the long run when it's over. M. (hristine
Walt's conversation with Skyler seemed completely off and out of character. I kept thinking that there was no way the writers were being so trite. But then it hit me. He was saving them.RIP Hank. What a wonderful character.
