tinnitus photography
just back from the 3rd day of Boston Calling...my feet are killing me. some pretty good shows. some stuff that is totally not my speed. was impressed by the final song of Brand New. Phosphorescent also kicked major ass on a couple of songs.
NoJ
Saw three shooting stars in 30 min. Meteor shower my ass. I saw 4 from 11pm to 2:30am. I like spending time looking at stars but all the hype made my expectations for this pretty high so I was disappointed in the results.
Lammycat
I'm going to a nickel-per-game arcade tomorrow for my step-son's 11th bday. I hope they have Galaga.
Hixter
Drinking beer with my neighbors, brewing beer with my neighbors, watching football with my neighbors. Cleaning out my garage: alone.
lamradio
That place sounds awesome, Lammy. I'm going to watch my Clemson Tigers play tomorrow. Tailgate, eat some breakfast casserole, BBQ, drink some beers.. Besides coitus, it doesn't get any better...
calvino
Nephew's wedding --- my 2 1/2 year old daughter is the flower girl -- should be fun.

choo-choo-charlie
Playing Mr. Mom with my 20-month-old daughter and eight-week-old son while my wife has a night out with the girls. Getting boxes of my childhood and teenage stuff out of my mom's basement as she prepares to move. And maybe, just maybe, if time allows, catching some football. kidsmoke
Have fun going through those boxes from your youth! I'll bet you'll be surprised by things & events you had forgotten ever happened. I recently got back a letter my 12-yr-old self had written to my dad, and I didn't even recognize my own handwriting. But the afternoon detailed in my letter came rushing back to me, and for those few moments I was 12 again, inside my 12-yr-old's thoughts. Fascinating to remember who I'd been. smells like flowers
Drinking a cold beer on the back porch while my husband fires up the grill. Nothing special; nevertheless, it's pretty perfect.
kidsmoke
Saw Dressy Bessy and The Baseball Project at the Bootleg Theatre in L.A. last night. Both acts were terrific! Mike Mills did a fun wander through the audience at one point. A very loud singalong to "Ted F. Williams" and a set-ending blistering "Amphetamine" were highlights for me. Nothing special planned for the rest of the weekend, except maybe a barbecue in this gorgeous weather, since smells like flowers has me craving a BBQ now.

The Inside of Outside
My weekend plans include checking VIa Chicago every few hours to read about Wilco's set list at yesterday's Lock'n Festival, Day 1.
calvino
Well, I didn't think I would cross off "walking my daughter down the aisle" from my father/daughter list so soon --- little bugger wouldn't go unless I went with her......
