d. boony
I can't believe I get to see another Tweedy solo-ish set in my hometown of Burlington. Wilco somehow manages to come to this rather out-of-the way town of 40,000 with amazing regularity. Looking forward to the September 29th show. I would complain that I prefer Higher Ground to the Flynn, but that would be... nitpicking.

Totally happy about the Flynn though.

Three dollars and 63 cents
I got a second row dead center pit seat for Philadelphia! That's the best seat I've ever gotten in a presale.
knotgreen
Pulled two in the 4th row for Boston. No pit tickets in Northampton by the time I finished checking out... Will try during the public on sale!
worldrecordplayer
I got 2 for Boston, center orchestra (but Row U).
twoshedsjackson
I fucking hate Front Gate. A bunch of "no seats available", then I managed to get row X, rear orchestra for Boston. I bought them. I'll probably try again on Friday.
EstreetPicks
Never mind. Got 5th row. Thanks

jjm33
Got caught in a work meeting and was shut out for Boston! If anyone has a pair, let me know. Hoping scalping prices aren't terrible.
linclink
Anyone else having trouble with ithaca?I did. Frontgate is killing me lately, huh? I got tickets, had to get 4 together, so it's 10th row center- very good, but I'll be trying to better them at the sale on Friday. There's still some good pairs left on sale now, but I'm at my limit for the show, so there's nothing I can do about it. But good luck!! Keep in touch as I'll probably be grabbing tickets on Friday too (have some out of town friends who are on the fence etc.) & I might end up with extras... Bosco
Hmm. Mine are being sent. I wonder if it's a seat location thing or a browser thing, I got Orch Cent, row k, which is about 18 rows back, it's where I like to be, but it's certainly not in the Pit. I used Firefox. linclink
Got my Northampton tickets! They only offered will call though, is this new?I ended up with will call only for Ithaca as well. A total pain in the ass as I have to meet folks there who are coming in from a different city...I fucking hate Front Gate. A bunch of "no seats available", then I managed to get row X, rear orchestra for Boston. I bought them. I'll probably try again on Friday.I am with you in regards to Front Gate. I really wish Wilco would deal with someone else for their pre-sale tickets!!!

I really wish Wilco would deal with someone else for their pre-sale tickets!!! I was pretty pissed when I posted this morning. I had to go to considerable trouble to be available for the pre-sale, and to be rewarded with kinda crappy seats was really annoying. Front Gate has been pretty good to me in the past though, so I'll retract my statement. Still better than ticketmaster.

I've no idea of other options, not knowing the field well... just haven't had much luck with Front Gate myself...I was pretty pissed when I posted this morning. nalafej
I think Ticketmaster's website/application is the best as far as securing tickets. Why do people think they are the worst?
Magnetized
I think Ticketmaster's website/application is the best as far as securing tickets. Why do people think they are the worst? I haven't done a comparison of fees from one site to another, and much of that probably depends on the artist and the venue as well as the ticket brokers fees, but I recently bought a ticket for Jason Isbell on TM that cost me a total of $34.50 for a $20 face value ticket. I later bought two more at the box office itself and each ticket cost $22 (face value + venue fee). Paying 1 1/2 times the cost of a ticket seems egregious to me, but as I said, it may be in line with others. One thing I will say in TM's favor is they make it easy to transfer tickets to someone else electronically. I've found that process to be easy and seamless.

I don't think Frontgate or anybody else's fees are any better than Ticketmaster. I don't have any hard facts on it - just anecdotes. As far as the process of buying tickets I think ticketmaster.com is the best and far better than traveling to a box office.
smells like flowers
I've had good, but not great, luck with Front Gate. The best I ever did for Wilco was fourth row, but mostly it's been around row 9 or higher. I like getting tickets early, but hate that crazy anxiety about logging on at the exact right time and rushing through the process. Nothing's perfect, I guess.
SarahC
i have always had amazing luck with front gate, except for this last TWEEDY ryman show, everything i pulled sucked. however, every single wilco show i have purchased tickets from front gate i've been in the first 5 rows. the best ticketmaster experience for wilco was 3rd row for atlanta a few years ago randomly pulled the afternoon the tickets went on sale. so, i guess not all the best seats are out there right at 10am- or it could have been that venue. pretty stoked to have gotten the tickets for athens in the pre-sale. i imagine the ticket biscuit servers will be strained- i've used ticket biscuit for a different venue and it's sorta of a pain. definitely cheaper than TM though...
