You can throw out every bit of crazy shit you want, and if you say "just kidding" it's ok then. Perfect strategy for winning the White House. John McCain...about that Sarah Palin nomination...just kidding. He should have done it.

Of course if one of his inspired followers doesn't get the JK memo and takes a shot at HRC or a Supreme, does it count as a crime?

My wife claims our progressive state of Georgia is blue. Hope against hope. At this point I can't think of a better chance for a party (D) to really do something good that unites the country and helps out in a real tangible way.

Yeah, actually the map I posted was a few days old. Georgia leans blue now and SC is looking like a swing state.

Remember during the primary how Trump mentioned the polls every chance he got? He doesn't reference polls anymore.

He thinks he's tied with Hillary recently - at least he said so in the recent 2nd amendment gaffe.

I found this quite interesting on 538 today.

I am not sure if Trump is getting his info from the unskewed polls from longroom.com or what.  But it might explain why he thinks he is tied or whatever.  Though it is important to note that longroom.com is currently down or something.  I would really be interested in seeing what that site is all about.

But it is funny t when the polls go you way, the polls are the best thing and when it goes against they are the worst.  For full disclosure I have done the same thing.

The most important thing to remember is they're prone to change. Maybe not as erratically after the primaries but a lot can happen. If Trump can keep opening his dumb mouth no one will pay attention to another bunch of Hillary's boring emails.

archive.org comes through again:

Holy Crap.  That is even worse than I thought.  I love the About Us page only gives only a vague notion of who these people are.  I googled them and they seem not exist beyond the site.  That is super weird.  Nate Silver said it was a website probably created by John Miller or John Barron.

It should be noted that Trump himself has never mentioned longroom.com, but a ton of Conservative and Right leaning sites were singing its praises.

Again it just shows how people will gravitate and accept things with little or no fact or research as long as it confirms their world view.  Clearly longroom.com is a made up website put out to lie to the American people about Donald Trump.

Hillary has been putting out some good ads.

Nice touch using only Right Wing pundits to make the point.

But more the point there is some really weird things going on with the Trump "campaign" and Russia.  The Right is so obsessed with a nonexistent link between dealings with the Clinton foundation and governmental dealings with countries who gave that organization money.  But you know what they have the information on the Clinton Foundation because the Foundation's tax returns and Fmr Sec Clinton's tax returns have been made public.  At this point we do not know what dealings (if any) Trump has made with Russia.

How can anyone think it is a good thing for this man to be president?  BTW his foreign policy speech yesterday was a garbbled mess of xenophobic rhetoric.  I feel sorry for the rubes out there who are eating it up and think that is what is going to make us safe.  I have always respected a person's political opinions.  I may vehemently disagree with them, but I have always understood them and appreciated the differences.  However, if you are Trump supporter, you are idiot.  You have have been fooled by a charlatan.  You are either too stupid or too selfish to understand what a disaster and a travesty a Trump presidency would bring this nation and to the world.

Mr. Trump is speaking tonight in my small Wisconsin town, in one of the nation's reddest counties. I won't be there, but I can feel my blood pressure rising already.

You should go, Eric. I can tell you're itching for a fight, and I'll bet you wouldn't have any trouble finding one there!

I forgot about that.  I am sure his being so close to Milwaukee will bring a sense of calm and understanding to a community struggling with riots and civil unrest.  Not at all a powder keg situation.

It would have been interesting if Michael Moore had named names, but I believe his story.

Some people are saying...  Give me a f'ing break.

Everyone has lambasted Trump for using this line, or way of thinking.  People resoundingly ridicule Trump every time he post something that has no verifiable fact.  But of course now that there is a story using the same methods, that has the basis in actual verifiable fact, people jump all over it.  Gone are the days of substance.  Gone are the days of actual journalism.  Let's hold everyone to a higher standard, both Right and Left.  Let's call this story what it is, complete bullshit.  Stories like this is how we get people like Trump in the first place.

I see your point. But... I see the situations as different. Moore isn't saying "people are saying", "I'm hearing", etc. He is saying that there are specific people that know the events that Moore is writing about are factual, he just doesn't want to name them. That is somewhat Trumpesque, but I can understand, though Moore doesn't specifically state it, someone being told something in confidence. There could be many legitimate reasons why he doesn't want to "name name's". Also, the story that Michael Moore is telling sounds plausible. That doesn't make it valid, but it doesn't reek of obviously pulled-out-of-your-ass bullshit, either.

Yes, I am taking a second hand story as believable, but we do that all of the time. We make many decisions on circumstantial evidence only. If you needed definitive evidence of everything, no matter how much you'd prefer to have it, you'd make very few decisions. Also, if he "named names" and those names said it's true, is that definitive proof? Couldn't it all be a part of a discredit Trump conspiracy? What would be required for this to not be "people are saying"? Video?

I take your point, but I find this tale very believable and highly likely based on the mountains of evidence about Trump's personality, values, decision making, etc. Also, even if Michael Moore completely made it up, it doesn't mean it isn't true. It certainly fits Donald Trump's profile.

There were also rumors Drumpf ran to start his own media company.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-media/2016/06/report-after-election-trump-considering-media-company-launch-224423

Now that Roger Ailes is available, this premise has more opportunity...

Wow, that makes so much sense I'm ashamed to have not considered that as a possible outcome of his run. And now he has the Brietbart News guy at the helm of his campaign.

Trump News, coming to a media outlet near you. (shudder)

Actually that is the definition of untrue.

I think this is a silly thing to really discuss, but I have a hard time believing Michael Moore especially when he says, I know this for a fact, but I am not going to say how I know this.  That should be a red flag to anyone.  Yes we take second hand stories as fact all the time.  But often you need to consider the source and the information.

You can believe, it certainly sounds something Trump would do, but I will not take it as fact.
