ih8music
The “transcript” of the call is more explicit than I expected. While he isn’t directly tying aid to investigating the Bidens, the implication is definitely there.

jff
I suspect some carefully crafted wiggle phrases have been inserted in there that team Trump will use to cast doubt on his guilt. I love how Zelinsky's wording is either the exact same as Trump's speaking ("We're going to drain the swamp"), or is over the top flattery ("I can't wait to meet you in person," "We learned all our winning tactics from you."), as if Trump wrote the whole thing himself.*

Oil Can Boyd
The White House put together talking points for congressional Republicans to use in their defense of Trump and then emailed them to the Democrats too. (And then sent a a "recall" email ...)
ih8music
Zelensky also pointed out that he stayed in Trump Tower. as in "oh, yeah, and also I lined your pockets, so..." That definitely caught my attention, too. I bet many foreign leaders pull that out at some point in their conversations with him.

If it was a Trump casino, you probably won a lot of money. That's how casinos fail.

lost highway
I wish I knew a good predictor for where this is going. CNN, NYtimes and WaPo are speaking fire and brimstone, Fox News is saying nothingburger (which has always been the dumbest phrase). Reuters and NPR will only say what's factually happening (cause they're smart). But man I'd love a crystal ball for this.
ih8music
have folks heard Trump lamenting that he can't execute the whistleblower?
