  1. I am so fucking ready for some Lost right now. As I usually say on Wednesdays, I'd gladly give up the next ten hours of my life if I could just fast forward directly to 9 PM. This week and next is it right? A double for next week?
  2. I saw that aforementioned Metallica / Ozzy tour in '86 when I was quite young and man what a scary crowd. I believe that had Hetfield told the crowd to kill all the virgins, that they would've complied. Also, I don't think I've ever seen a headliner so severely outclassed as Ozzy was that day. He was so bloated looking and sounding, just really not very good.
  3. I just got the album the other day and am really loving it so far. That "Spiders" breakout was very cool. Maybe they're jockeying for an upcoming support slot on a Wilco tour.
  4. I'm gonna make a double-sided request sign for the Charlottesville show: "Paradise By The C" on oneside and "Seaside Bar Song" on the other.
  5. I've heard that G'N'R has passed Boston. If not yet, it will. I've listened to the first Boston as much as anyone, but Appetite will still be appealing and selling 100 years from now.
  6. This sounds very promising. And how crazy that Dickinson flies the jet from show to show. Iron Maiden's 'Flight 666' Doc Takes Off Iron Maiden's "Flight 666" film won the Best Documentary prize at this year's South By Southwest Film Festival. April 15, 2009 09:42 AM ET Gary Graff, Detroit Iron Maiden will follow the April 21 worldwide debut if its new documentary, "Flight 666," with a variety of video and soundtrack album packages in May. The May 26 roll-out will include DVD and Blu-Ray editions of the film, which documents the headbangers' 2008 Somewhere Back In Time world tour and won th
  7. I really hope the Heat find a way to pull out this series, because who really wants to see the Hawks play the Cavs? But Lebron VS Wade, now that I want to see.
  8. Louie, I haven't said hello in awhile, sorry about that. Once again though, you were the most generous person I met in Chicago for the Residency and that's saying a lot. The tour, the warm ups in the car, seriously you went above and beyond. So, thanks again for that and I hope you have a great one. Looking forward to next time, Greg
  9. Put me down for the Louisville show. Anyone around here wanna meet up for that one?
  10. I wasn't there in Philly last night, but damn these setlists are looking really, really good. "London Calling!!!" "Thundercrack," "Kitty's Back," Wow. I've got GA's for Charlottesville on Tuesday. I'll report back when I get the chance. 11. A-Man, Thanks for reminding me of how fucking great "I Wanna Be Somebody" is. If there was any justice back then W.A.S.P. would've been a household name instead of Poison or Cinderella.
  12. A pretty lengthy, although not particularly exciting interview / story from Rolling Stone is below. As for the debates about this season. I love it so much that I can't imagine ever watching the first couple of seasons ever again. It's light years ahead of that, and any other television show. http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/273...steries_of_lost
  13. I'm sure at least one person around here won't like the link to this photo from the Athens GA line: http://www.flickr.com/photos/deadrichmond/3471131545/
  14. That shit is huge here as well and I just fucking hate it. They even have a yearly holiday here called:Slaughterama Check out the flickr link to see some of these bike gangs in action: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bloboz/271811...in/photostream/
  15. I know his playing career has been on the decline for quite awhile, but seeing Mutumbo going out like that and likely ending his career was very sad. Off the court, he should be the model for all young, NBAers. He has given so, so much in both monetary and humanitarian ways to his native village in Congo. If the Hall of Fame inducted based solely on class, he'd be the first guy in. Give that wagging finger some rest big man. You've obviously got bigger things ahead in life beyond basketball.
  16. Athens was quite the place to be there for a couple of days. The Wilcos were out and about town quite a bit on their off day and early on show day. First we walked out of the Grill the night before the show and 10 feet in front of us is Nels coming in to order takeout. He seemed to pour over the menu for some time considering that it's, well a Grill. Right before we left the Grill I perused the jukebox and noticed that they had what appeared to be a homemade Wilco comp on it with lots of staples, but also "James Alley Blues," "We've Been Had" live and other deep cuts. I came really close to pl
  17. It's great to see all of the love that Nels gets in these reviews. He really does steal the show most nights.
  18. I'm out the door in about 7 hours. Trying to make it to the record store, but will definitely be at the bar pre-show. See You'll there, Greg
  19. How about Miles and Hurley listening to Love Will Keep Us Together? That was pretty cool, especially for us.
  20. One of the punkest Wilco songs to be sure.
  21. those woo ooo ooh's sound like Paul Stanley.
  22. Maybe Laverne and Shirley threw the hat.
  23. Did someone actually say "yeah" after the change the sheets line?
  24. "Shot In the Arm," IS THE MOST PLAYED SONG BY QUITE A BIT.
