In my opinion, it's a bit of apples and oranges. It will depend on the style of music you like to play. I used to play through a Marshall half-stack and now use a Fender combo. The Marshall had great gain and sounded really awesome on heavier rock and roll. For country, blues and more 'vintage' overdrive tones, the Fender is superb. I'd take the Fender clean over the Marshall and day of the week.

Purchase a Tube Screamer and also a Boss Tremolo. Those are the best two pedals you can have for my $$. I have the Fender Blues Deluxe reissue, which is basically just a higher-wattage amp with the same features you're getting in the Blues Jr. Let me tell you -- those amps are AWESOME sounding. As far as strings go, I use 10 gauge D'addario XL on my Fender and Gibson. They're pretty durable, sound good and that gauge gives a little more sustain than a 9 gauge string.

I'm with you. I think he's pretty talented. I was definitely a late-comer to his music, but enjoy it. However, those faces he makes are silly.

So...seeing as it's October 1st, did any lucky VCers get a ticket confirmation?

I went to London 2 years ago. I've been to Europe, Japan and all over the US. London was the best. I'd like to live there one day. -
Brian Brohm (sp?) from Louisville, John David Booty from USC and Colt Brennan (sp?) from Hawaii.

That is a great story. Thanks, Leo!

It looks to be a pretty solid QB draft next year. I would bet da Bears take the plunge on someone new.

I was wondering if the studio versions of "Is That the Thanks I Get" was available anywhere. You know, the one from the VW commercials.

Travis Roy...I grew up playing ice hockey. The "bright side" of that tragedy is that it made for a greatly increased awareness of how dangerous and possible spinal/neck injuries can be. Sorry....a little off topic. -
I really like the show so far. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to watch last night. Kinda hard to knock out 2 - 2.5 hours of TV every night (at least for me).

Nash is the manufacturer. I went to his website, and a lot of it seems kind of "snooty''. Very cool instruments though. I wonder about the headstock logo too....

"Banking on a Myth" as I recall. I think a hotel guy was going to drop some spinning plates or something....

That. Is. Awesome.

PBS Page. As a person who finds great interest in history, I look forward to watching this.

Those made my day. Absolutely astounding.

I have the D-15 and it's a little too boomy on the low end. I imagine that the smaller 000 body is the perfect balance point for an all-mahogany body.

Great review! Glad it all worked out taking D-man. I recall (think it was you) you had some reservations taking him. That was an awesome story and a lush memory the two of you will have forever.

One thing's for certain: my Chiefs look bad. Really bad. High draft pick next year, which I'm sure Herm will waste.

Nice little background I made with my good buddy, Adobe.

I think if you google something like "wav file editor" you might come across something. I assume you're working with files like this.
