  1. After numerous attempts, I still haven't figured out how to upload anything, yet. (it took me years to get off the leecher mode on Dime, I'm at 1.12, now)
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziRR5h3b4YU Are you talking about the above - I always thought it was pretty cool, too. The first time I watched the Stones play LARS at a concert was a blast. On another note, I finally listened to Disc 3 of the Tell Tale Signs - it is very good - still not worth the extra $80 or so, though.
  3. How do you guys get your shows, if don't use torrent - do you use the archive or do you just stream shows. Does anybody still trade or B&P? I have, somewhat recently, participated in some Vines with Allman Brothers' stuff, which was kinda fun, I guess. It did take me a few tries to get the hang of it. Etree is the best, because you don't have to worry about ratio's.
  4. I don't know, he will not be paid much and last year was first truly bad year in a while. I assume they gave him a physical and he is healthy (for his age). I don't like the idea have only Dunn as your option at DH and I do give some credence to Abreu needing some adjusting to the MLB and I think Konerko will be a good fit for that role, as well in the club house. Phil Rogers had a decent piece about the subject. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article/cws/phil-rogers-paul-konerko-unselfish-to-return-to-white-sox?ymd=20131204&content_id=64400780&vkey=news_cws
  5. Or back to the White Sox --- Glad Konerko is returning - it would have sucked if this past dismal White Sox season was his last.
  6. Nice little discussion going on on bt-etree, too. Haven't seen a Dead show on Dime with so many pulls in awhile.
  7. I saw Wilco in Kansas City in 2002 - Tweedy didn't seem to enjoy the KC crowd that night either. I remember he made a comment that they don't play in Kansas City all that often and people began to boo or heckle and he said something like "That's why". It was a good show, though (despite the audience). Last night's show looks great - never heard the Long Time Ago tune before
  8. Speaking of Weir and his voice - Amazon had the Move Me Brightly Blu-ray for $14, so I bought it - I think they did nice job editing the show - all, esp. Weir, sound great. Still irks the fuck out me that Hidalgo isn't taking better care of the '58 Strat that Garcia gave him - they did edit out the part where he took the guitar out the case and he mentioned the broken string - ugh. Also I wish they mentioned who the musicians were as the appeared - I had no idea who half of them were.
  9. Just pulled decent seat for the Ratdog Chicago show. Looking forward to it. Hopefully Dave Ellis joins the line-up, like I heard that he will on the radio , but have not read about it as of yet.
  10. Is this stuff still banned in middle schools? In the early 80's it was banned at my school at least (due to kid's huffing it.)
  11. I'm listening to the 11/21/85 show - great solo by Garcia during Wharf Rat -- Big Boy Pete opener and a Walkin' The Dog encore. Pretty solid show through out.
  12. Yep. We seen Justin Roberts about 5 or so times over the last 3 years - always a fun show. Look forward to the rest of the line up, too. All for a good cause, to boot.
  13. Got it yesterday - listened to the Brooklyn Side last night - good stuff. Got through about half the liner notes - lot's of people have a lot of nice things to say about the Bottle Rockets...
  14. I keep forgetting that I pre-ordered the disc. Looking forward to getting it.
  15. I think it was his shoulder --- whatever was ailing him when he passed out on stage.
  16. Stirratt will be part of the below. (At Lincoln Hall in Chicago) Link for the cause/fest http://kathyfest.com/
  17. I saw a Bob & Rob show a few years later then the 89 tour - it was fun. They played the World Music Theater (a shed) in Tinley - I think there may have been a thousand people or so there - it other words it was empty. That Ratdog line up looks great, hopefully I will hit the Chicago show - as someone mentioned in the comments, I heard that Dave Ellis was going to be part of the line-up, too. I always enjoyed Kenny Brooks' playing - so a horn player would be great. On the Dead radio show, it was reported that Weir's surgery was a success.
  18. Can't remember if Parrish was willed the guitar or not -- did see it while it was at the Hall of Fame.
  19. My four year old wanted to listen to Iron Maiden this morning - which irks the hell out of his mother, but so it goes....
  20. "Everybody take a step back, and another..." (though Heartbreak probably hates the below version -- -- kidding, kidding of course) To each his own, I always say. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9msLwh-wp4
  21. XM is currently playing 6/2/95 - enjoying the spry Good Morning Little School Girl.
  22. Amazingly - I only heard Greyfolded for the first time a few months ago - got it from the library - it is very interesting and a cool listen. Need to check it out again or buy it.
  23. I wouldn't be subscribing if I was shelling out the dough - but it's kinda of cool to get a disc every 3 months or so in the mail, as a gift. Typically I buy every third release or so, if I think it should be a decent one - but I down load a shit load more. If I have a decent download prior to a release, I usually forgo a purchase - this is a reason I haven't bought the May 77 box set release or the Warlock set -- these are the only two box sets that they released that I don't have.
  24. The writer who wrote up the review in the Taper's Compendium thought maybe Brent's microphone was left on by mistake, though one would have thought they would have turned the mike off once they noticed it --- the "whoo-ing" lasts for the entire solo.
