  1. I don't remember ever having a dream that I was flying - that kinda sucks.
  2. True - but some front row tickets are $850.00, so the Midas Touch wouldn't help, unless I use the power to pick a winning Lotto ticket. That too.
  3. Invisibility for me - I can deal with a nose pick --- I would use my powers to sneak into high priced or sold out concerts.
  4. DKV Trio (even bought my ticket in advance - to help prevent me from wussing out)
  5. I am planning on another day trip there to see the Stones exhibit. My 4 year still talks about the Pink Floyd Wall' monster that we saw there when we went there for the Dead exhibit last December. I think it's kinda of pointless to get upset about who or who doesn't get inducted (my humble opinion of course).
  6. It's the simple things -- live version of War on War.
  7. Use to get three weeks, before the housing market tanked (I'm in the trades) - small family business - working our way back up, though. The sucky thing is my wife gets 4 weeks - the last two years, she used her vacation time doing side jobs in her field- which pay great - but we miss our trips over yonder, oh well. As long I get a pay check and treated fairly, I never cared what my bosses did or made (as long as they were straight up and honest with me and the rest of the employees).
  8. Personal days! - I'd put up with all your bosses qualities if I got personal days, sick days, or vacation days. My boss is okay.
  9. Thanks for the reviews all - I have been playing the reissue a lot, really enjoying it. Speaking of Tim, I saw him at Lincoln Hall Saturday morning - wanted to ask him if was still working in DC, but didn't get the chance.
  10. We are having that this year, too. A veggie and a meat one. First time having everyone over for Christmas Eve (finally have the space).
  11. Thanks for this - I will try this when I get home.
  12. Just checked out the VU DVD reunion from the library --- I always heard pretty negative things about this release, so I never bother to listen or watch it --- it's enjoyable, though. Flat, a bit, yes - but it's kinda cool to see them all on stage together. I think Sterling plays pretty good, too - sad he would be dead a couple of years later. Cale does seem the most detached.
  13. John played solo - two tunes: Guthrie's "Ease My Revolutionary Mind" and 'It's Just That Simple" - Both played nicely. I thought "Revolutionary Mind" was an interesting choice since the audience consisted of mostly 2-8 year old's. After playing he came out into the audience and hung out with (I'm assuming) his wife and daughter, before heading back up to the stage for the "This Land is Your Land" - he brought his daughter up on stage with him. Each performer sang a verse and John sang my favorite line of the tune: "As I went walking I saw a sign there And on the sign it said "No Trespassing.
  14. I always skip over or turn off the studio version of War on War - but enjoy the live version. Not sure if they do anything different live with the tune, though....
  15. That's the audience source I was looking for - I looked briefly on Etree last night and did see it there.
  16. Regarding Weir's surgery - Lambert gave more details this past Sunday - the surgery was in October, it definitely was on his shoulder (past collarbone break injury was causing pain all year). Weir is ahead of schedule with his rehab. All according to Weir's manager. Also, listened to the 1st set of 5/1/81 last night - definitely a very nice set --- only had the matrix on my hard drive, need to track down the audience.
  17. Dammit, pay attention, Lammy! (though if anyone needs a little help with his face - it's Wood or any of the Stones) If they do put on a tour, hopefully they play theaters, not arenas - though that will probably be unlikely. Wood is playing good these day, I would like to see him up on the stage pulling all the guitar duties - perhaps, then, his half-ass dance-only antics will be at a miniumium.
  18. I didn't mean it as a wisecrack at all --- just a response to the first post above and your 2nd post above. The Drudge helps perpetrates the "outrage" that KevinG mentioned and it snowballs, thus people will soon know who Rual is.
  19. I'm sure that will change by noon, Central Time. It's already up on the Drudge - god love 'em.
  20. That's the only Hendrix record I own - it's been a very long time that I gave it a spin.
  21. Listening to this (Live and the Sands, 1966 (Part 1)) on the radio, now -- he's a riot. When he talks he sounds a lot like Jack Kerouac.
