Can you keep a copy of the stream if one purchases it?

Wrack and Ballister - interesting show - two completely different styles of bands made for a nice evening. Reed did a great job with the bar area and the venue is great, also - enjoy the stadium like seating all around the floor and it's great that the bands set up directly on the floor, so you can look down onto them, rather than the normal looking up at a stage. I had a whole different perspective watching Paal Nilssen-Love play the drums. Also, Dave Rempis got even smarter and installed a credit card swiper on his phone - I spent a bit of dough on cds Lastly, I guess that vinyl has hit

More Medeski, Martin and Wood With Nels Cline Hinted At

Because I am a (sometimes depressed) Chicago jazz lover music snob Many of the musicians have played and recorded shows at the club over the years and they all have great thing to say about the owners/club. -
Same here - this is pretty much why enjoy listening to jazz more so then other types of music, because I hear something different each time I hear a tune that I have listened to countless times (same reason that I enjoy the Grateful Dead).

That's a place I hope to make it to one day, have you ever seen a show at Alchemia? -
I don't listen to much vocal jazz and when I do it is usually older big band stuff (Count Basie, etc). One recent release by Dave Douglas has vocals on it - Be Still - very good stuff, the record is a tribute to his mother who passed away recently, so it's pretty spiritual/traditional type stuff. The vocalist comes from a blue grass back ground, I guess, honestly I never heard of her prior to purchasing Be Still; also really like the record cover. Also, with regards to singing, a lot Steve Lacy (Ellery Eskelin, too) stuff has 'singing' on it but the vocalist uses her voice as more of a

I got lucky and we were able to get our car out of the lot without any issues --- friends didn't fair so well, though. My friend had to get back to Chicago by 7am the next day for work, so we only had time to help out a few --- it was great ride home, seeing the sky become brighter while heading down the Dan Ryan with music blasting was pretty cool - I was about to start my senior year in high school, I felt like all was pretty damn great. I thought the rain added a whole different experience for my first show (the last night of the run) - I wasn't bothered by it. Before my friend and I he

Not a big fan of National Dust, either -- Wilco was the best choice of the three, at least.

The Wives/girlfriends were wise or as some sing: "Man Smart (Woman Smarter)"

Definitely - this set was the first box set my girlfriend (now wife) bought me for Christmas when it came out back in 97 - I don't think she ever bought me a better Christmas gift. (though she did get me the Complete Miles on Columbia set for Valentine's Day a few years back.) Regarding listening to jazz around the house --- some stuff I am relegated to head phones, this includes while listening to some of the later Coltrane stuff, while the wife is milling about. So far my kids can put up with anything, but I am waiting for the day when they don't want to listen to Peter Brotzmann blaring

My library has the European Tour set and I check it out quite a bit - good stuff, indeed. The sounds is okay, as you say, not the best - but I believe it's the source tapes that are the issue - so if it's all that they have to play with from a mastering point - it's fine by be. Glad it the material is released. The sound on the One Down, One up isn't the best, either.

Just brought my copy to work today to give it a listen, again. Just finished up the below. (I am alone in the office on Tuesdays and Fridays, so it usually "free" jazz days.)

Normally I don't get impatient about these things - but when the hell are the going to announce the next Dave's pick??? Also, my favorite post Brent show that I saw was 6/22/91 in Chicago --- my friend taped 6/28/92 show - it definitely stood out when I listened to it a few days later.

Strangest Guest performers you have seen at a show

Mojo (or his engineer) needs to pay attention to his levels while he is talking on XM. -
Caught them a Lallopalooza in 2007 - fun show, I was towards the back of the crowd when Iggy invited everyone on stage, so I didn't make it up there. Don't have any Stooges in my collection.
-
Never saw that, either -- is it even available on DVD, I didn't see it anywhere after a quick search.
-
Yes it is and thanks for doing it.

My neighbor loaned his Duane Allman box set this past weekend and I have been going through it this week - very good stuff - I didn't get it, because I thought I had most of the stuff on various releases, but I was mistaken - I probably have about half of it in other releases. Also, just watched the Muscle Shoals documentary last night - the Duane Allman set compliments the doc, nicely, and vice verse. Great documentary. It was nice to hear Rick Hall say that he blew it when he didn't sign ABB - or missed the boat...

Listening to 3/18/67 --- Garcia plays great throughout, esp during "The Same Thing". https://archive.org/details/gd67-03-18.sbd.fink.10282.sbeok.shnf

Very nice, indeed.

Saturday - cleaning the house. Sunday - hosting a St. Patrick's feast - bunch of family, friends, and old neighbors. Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, cheese cake, drink, etc. Monday - cracking all the windows open to air out the house.
-
Exactly.

Charlie Miller did a transfer - it doesn't sound too bad. https://archive.org/details/gd1988-07-02.sbd.miller.86817.sbeok.flac The Little Feat opening set is on the Archive, too. (haven't listened to it, yet) https://archive.org/details/lf1988-07-02.aud.flac16

Listened to that, too - today - It's a good one.

I don't have any studio-only boots from Zeppelin - so it will be all new to me.
