  1. Neil Young's Landing on Water is a decent album, including Jordan's drumming.
  2. Just recently started to delve into Todd Snider's work - his debut "Songs for the Daily Planet" is my favorite of his so far.
  3. I always enjoy reading Andrew Loog Oldham ramblings on the Stones' early records. Dylan's notes on World Gone Wrong springs to my mind, too. Especially the below bit:
  4. I picked up the below for about $60 bucks or so a couple of years ago - sounds okay - not the best but I heard much worse. I guess the Barry Diament mastered releases - released in the 80's I think - sound best. I do have a few of the Diament releases - they do sound pretty good. 12 SHM-CD. Japanese Limited Edition Box Set (September '2008)
  5. I never saw them as such, either. Last night, I added my name to three different vines: 1997, 1998 and the 1999 complete Beacon runs.
  6. Just found out this morning that we are having a "hot dog bar" for our kid's b-day party feast --- I am sure kraut will be an option.
  7. I listened to a couple of minutes of Rush this afternoon and he was all over Christie. It is a fun listen when he goes after a Republican for about 2 1/2 minutes that I can muster up to listen.
  8. Perhaps --- Dylan and the Dead tear through Tangled up in Blue in that the JFK show - perhaps too much.
  9. Go, Go White Sox! One thing going for them going into this year - it can't get any worse. Still surprised they got rid of Addison Reed - the only bright spot last year, though he did blow some games, too.
  10. Now I am really wishing I would have spent the dough and saw them at the Chicago Theater last summer - of well --- hopefully this year will be their last hurray and they can just release a bunch of archival stuff in the future; I don't see a point of seeing them with other band members at this stage of their career.
  11. I thought it was pretty funny, too -- The actual title of the episode was "Let's Stay Together" --- the writers should have went with the "Whiter Than a Wilco Concert" --- I think the episode was all in good fun....
  12. I guess so - he's alright (actually didn't realize he was up for the first time, too) Thomas had a pretty nice press conference a bit ago.
  13. Happy for Maddux and Thomas - both deserving of their first year nods into the Hall.
  14. 7 years does seem excessive. I am glad they did sign him, though.
  15. Plus, I remember seeing images of Garcia on the back drop screen during some tunes in the late 90's (at least I think I did). I think during No One Left to Run With.
  16. I think the Idiot is my favorite of his (almost used the name Myshkin as the middle name for my oldest kid) - Demons close behind. Brothers K is still on my frickin list to read, after numerous attempts.
  17. Are you sure it wasn't a Dickie Betts interview?
  18. I think Jerry called Gregg a narc for testifying against somebody (a manager?) in a drug case. I don't think Greg liked that too much.
  19. Has anybody listened to the San Fran Betty CRB shows? The entire run is up for sale , flac. Thinking of getting it -- the price for all 5 shows seems okay.
  20. Listening to 12/30/78 tonight -- very nice show. It's kinda interesting that this show is in LA and not at the Winterland --- looks like Tom Petty got the 2nd to last show at Winterland on 12/30/78.
  21. I remember reading at the time of the Winterland release, if they made video better - the audio would have suffered, at least that's what they were saying when people started to complain about the video feed.
