Bah! - I guess you need to drink better coffee
-
Hopefully, they will put the San Francisco release on cd, too.

Sister-in-law is up visiting - mentioned that she and her brother bought me the 2014 subscription for Christmas - they bought me this year's, also --- a gift that keeps on giving. Only listened to Set 1 of this latest one , twice --- the sound is great. Playing is good, too. Feel Like A Stranger has always been one of my favorite openers.

Never listened to this show --- gotta be Brent, right? - sounds pretty neat.

or she is sweet on JT - I guess he does has some moves.

Yeah, Anderson's was nice. Patti Smith had a nice one too, in the New Yorker. http://www.newyorker.com/talk/2013/11/11/131111ta_talk_smith

I listened to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot twice today - can't remember the last time I listened to it all the way through.

CULT OF PERSONALITY -
How was the show? Saw that there was tickets still available for tonight, but wussed out. ( I was surprised that tickets were still available on Friday for Sat's show)

The Big Red One was one of my favorites growing up. Count me as one (in the 70's) playing war with sticks or whatever else we could find for guns. Once I used the arm/extension of weed eater -- it had a trigger and a shaft for a barrel - I was the coolest for a while in my court.
-
Yeah - horrible - with Beltran at the plate, too.
-
Only saw him once, at the Chicago Theater in 2000, while he was supporting Ecstasy. Great, great, powerful show.

Bet you will get a Rock and Roll.
-
That sucks --- lived a hell of a life.

I agree, plus I fell asleep, too, in the 8th. There's four more games to be played - play on.

Bands with critical acclaim/respect that don't deserve it.

I would say Dylan is one you couldn't argue with, as with the Beatles, (Yellow Submarine always puts me on edge) - I would of course would have to say the Stones too ---- the Stones have a lot of holes, sure, but one can't argue (too much) with their success and longevity, from a rock and roll band perspective. Dylan has a few bum records, too, and his recent performances are nothing too, too special, but again he is still out there producing new music and performing. -
My kid loves dried kale -- stinks to the high heavens, though, when I open up the sealed container.

Beatles - (there I said it - this may be because my 4 year old has been singing Yellow Submarine non-stop for the past week) -
I think my first cd was already cracked before I even tried to take it out, because I remember all the back lash when it it first released and I didn't have the to opportunity to take it out, carefully. I haven't listened to it in a while.

First one was - returned it- second one is fine.

By way of the Hoffman board GD Facebook page (it's from the comment section)

Yeah, I don't have a record player (though I have been saying for the last 10 years or so that I am getting one) - but the set does look great. Vinyl prices are ridiculous, though. I wonder what else MG has ---- I also wonder how she is able to release Grateful Dead stuff, and not Rhino. I realize she probably 'owns' the masters, but I would think she would need the Dead/Rhino's blessing for release, but I don't see this on Dead.net at all, at least not yet. Perhaps because the show was billed as the below, explains the release.

Neil always seems to be a crank, crank on Farm Aid day, which never takes away from his performances.

That is a great shot - I went to bed at the end of the 7th. Surprised as hell, this a.m. Great effort by Hunter.

I saw it during the Bears/Giant game this past Thursday. It was the first the time that my wife saw it, she enjoyed it.
