  1. I was at the above show - it was a nice song. The video doesn't give the "singer" justice - she was kinda of hot. Glad I was able to see a song debut. The whole stage set up - roadies, etc. - was fun - very thematic. A bunch of old guys walking around with computer tablets trying to coordinate every thing.
  2. What site are you guys talking about - if you don't mind me asking - thanks.
  3. Caught them last night in Chicago - great show. Got there about an 1/2 hour after the doors open and was about 15' back/dead center, which as great. All the new songs played sounded great - Ramada Inn perhaps was the weakest of the bunch, but still a good song none the less. He resurrected the Rust Never Sleeps stage setup theme, which was fun to see. Los Lobos's set was equally as great. Definitely kinda of a Dead theme in there set - they played a verse of Love Light, Not Fade Away, and Bertha. They gave a nice shout out to WXRT for playing their music over the years before they played I
  4. Okay I concede Ryan isn't a dick wad for saying what he said about Hamilton - Shakespeare put forth a much better response. I haven't use the term "dick wad" in about 25 or 30 years - it was kinda fun.
  5. Not trying to be a shock jock - I think it's dickish thing to say when someone is trying quit a bad habit. Hamilton battles addiction everyday, anyway. He wanted to quit another addiction, good for him. Being a dick is one of Ryan charming qualities.
  6. Neil Young/Crazy Horse with Los Lobos.
  7. Okay - mystery solved - thanks. Still think they should have mentioned the omission on the Roadcase release page. No real biggie, though.
  8. I suppose you may be correct. There was an audio recording of this show. See http://viachicago.org/topic/48456-wilco-08142012/ I did not download the show show, so I haven't listened to it. It is on the tapers set list, though tapers do make mistakes from time to time. Perhaps someone who listened to the audio recording can chime in?
  9. They above quote is from the After the Show folder That's a bit odd - I didn't see any explanation on the Roadcase Store page, either. I imagine they had technical issues - though I guess there is no "complete show" on the release information. I haven't been checking the set lists on the releases to the actual set list of the shows on the the Roadcase releases - is having a song or two left out the norm or is this show an exception?
  10. Never listened to Side Trips or Hooteroll?. Vacant, you definitely should get the Keystone set. For some reason I was a little underwhelmed with Spring 90 set - the Keystone set made up for it greatly.
  11. I think Lennon's legacy will be unharmed. I think anybody who knows anything about Lennon knows that he, at times, was a narcissistic dick - it was part of his character/being. I think the more stuff out there for people/historians to digest, the better.
  12. http://dead.net/features/blair-jackson/blair-s-golden-road-blog-frost-memories Blair Jackson writes about in this week's blog.
  13. I only had a copy of one of the Keystone volumes on a cd, I was not as familiar with the Keystone performance. After listening to the first two discs, what strikes me the most is Jerry singing - it's fantastic. I am guessing he is playing is playing his Alligator guitar, though he got his Wolf guitar in May. There are pictures of Garcia playing both guitars in the liner notes, so I am not a 100% certain. (The shows were July 10 &11). Anyway great stuff so far.
  14. I plan 2 discs on the way down and the other 2 on the way back.
  15. Just got the Garcia/Saunders Complete Keystone set last night. Have a solo 4 1/2 car trip planned for this afternoon - very much looking forward to it. I hardly listen to shows from 80-86. Thanks for all these early 80's suggestions.
  16. http://www.iorr.org/ More boots are at the above site, check out the Hot Stuff section (bottom right). I have never gotten anything from there, though.
  17. I enjoy the Satanic sessions quite a bit, too.
  18. hungercity.org and dimeadozen.org are two sites if you do the torrent thing. Don't forget they have released "official" bootlegs via mp3's or flacs (out side of the U.S. only for the flacs). Probably can purchase them through the Stones official site.
  19. I think Lammy is referring to Baby Blue as a closer, more so than a singalong, though I probably "sang" along with Blue, too. I suppose the Weight needs to join "I shall be Released" and "This Land is Your Land", too.
  20. Nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about Wilco and their releases.
  21. Must admit, somtimes, I think the same thing about linclink - a person with same member name as linclink plays the same role(promote live releases and the band in general) on another board I frequent - not a complaint, just an observation.
  22. Saw him (solo) open of for Dylan for a couple of shows in 2007 - not a particularly huge fan of Costello - but on those two nights he out performed Dylan. One of the shows was the last one of the tour and Elvis (with Amos Lee, the other opener) performed with Dylan and his band on I Shall be Released - great version.
  23. I downloaded it off of Dime, but haven't watched it yet - perhaps after tonight's debate.
