I was going to pass on the Grrr set, but Amazon(UK) had it (the 50 song/3 cd version) for sale on Blu-ray. After shipping/tax it came out to be $23.00 or so - cheaper than I saw it in CD format. The sound on the Blu-ray is great - not as bright as the SACDs - though I think the sound on the SACDs are great. The post ABKCO songs sound great in high rez, too, especially on head phones. My brother in law saw the PPV show and he thought they sounded great - I haven't seen it yet - hopefully this weekend - he recorded it.

I Googled the whereabouts and only came up with this. Quote is dated December, 2009 from http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/stratocaster-discussion-forum/22659-jerry-garcias-alligator-graham-nash-strat.html

Decided to take a day trip to Cleveland to see the Grateful Dead exhibit - well worth the drive. Coolest thing was seeing the master tape(box) for the 4/29/71 show. Overall it was great - Mickey Hart has a few if his drums there, but nothing from Kreutzmann. Jerry's Nash guitar wasn't there, either - it was cool to see Weir's Ibanez. Anybody know the whereabouts of Jerry's Nash guitar? I took my 3 year old with me, so I didn't get a chance to spend an enormous time there. His favorite part was the below: Below is the same link I posted a while ago. The exhibit is supposed to end m

Went to the Hall on Saturday - Jeff's Wllco (on the neck) acoustic guitar, Nudie suit, and a Jay Bennett's beat up SG were on display. All of this has been part of a "Midwest Rockers" exhibit since the beginning of the year - if I read about it before, I forgot, because I was surprised to see it there.

My wife said he should have kept his shirt buttoned. I thought it was good - nothing like their 9/11 performance - but good none the less.

I think Dire Straits will - they sold a bit of records at one point. It would be a nice excuse for them to get back together, too.

Yeah, the Grateful Dead Movie bonus disc is quite good. The disc is definitely worth owning, if only from a historical perspective.

Regarding Grateful Dead dvd's you can get pretty much all them in one swoop, with the exception of the Crimson release. Somewhat decent price, too. "Grateful Dead: All the Years Combine: The DVD Collection (14-DVD Box Set) (2012)" I enjoy the below ones. Truckin' Up To Buffalo (Rich Stadium, Orchard Park, NY, on July 4, 1989) Downhill From Here (Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, WI, July 17, 1989) The bonus material on View From The Vault (Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA, July 8, 1990) is quite good. The Closing Of Winterland (2-DVD) (Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, CA, Dece

I threw out the idea to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law about combining their resources to purchase the 2013 Dave's Pick subscription for me for Christmas this year and they took the bait - nice. I didn't do it last year - like the idea of receiving shows via the mail, without knowing what 3 of the 4 will be. Of course, I only purchased one Dave's Pick this past year, the 74 release. I think I know what I am going to get from the in-laws in the upcoming years, if Dave keeps this up.

From Peninsula State Park the morning after the Fish Creek show

The Steve Hoffman board is always good for these types of questions; though, at times, it's tedious reading. Small Faces is another band I never delved into.

Balcony seating at the Chicago Theater isn't bad at all (which I am sure you already know) - probably my favorite downtown place to see a show - especially for balcony seating.

Just listened to Dylan's Isle of Wight show last night - it was okay - a good, cleaned up version would be welcomed. I always enjoyed this era (69-70)

Great shot of Fish Creek; the wife and I had a great time visiting the town/area before and after the show.

After checking on the web, I paid $34 in 2008 to see him at the Riviera. Great show and great band, though I may have imbibed a bit too much that particular night....

On the way to cut down our tree, we gave a spin to Dylan's Christmas CD over the weekend - so it's officially tis' the season. I really do enjoy the disc.

Well they are going to be on Letterman - so people's hopes shouldn't be too high - love Letterman, but I am sure he is not going to be asking Jimmy what the set up was on the amp during the recording of "For Your Life", though he may ask about the snort. Listening to the Celebration Day cd this morning - it is pretty damn good.

I am sure it's a lot easier just to talk, rather than playing. It nice that they are going to be on Letterman, rather than another talk show. I did get the blu-ray of Celebration Day - it is pretty damn good. Haven't watched the whole thing, yet, though.

I always liked Black and Blue, with the exception of Melody. Recently I watched a 76 show from Paris - enjoyed the live Hot Stuff - stupid lyrics, but I like the vamp and watching Keith and Mick sing it.

I go up to Some Girls. If hard pressed I usually default as Some Girls being my favorite, then Let It Bleed. Beggar's has Salt of the Earth, as song that is a bit too long, otherwise that album is perfect. In 89, Axl and Izzy performed Salt of the Earth with the Stones in Atlantic City - I thought it was pretty good - the ending gets redundant for me - but seeing Axl and Mick run around the stage is always fun. Keith's opening lines has always been my favorite part of the song.
