I only had a copy of one of the Keystone volumes on a cd, I was not as familiar with the Keystone performance. After listening to the first two discs, what strikes me the most is Jerry singing - it's fantastic. I am guessing he is playing is playing his Alligator guitar, though he got his Wolf guitar in May. There are pictures of Garcia playing both guitars in the liner notes, so I am not a 100% certain. (The shows were July 10 &11). Anyway great stuff so far.

I plan 2 discs on the way down and the other 2 on the way back.

Just got the Garcia/Saunders Complete Keystone set last night. Have a solo 4 1/2 car trip planned for this afternoon - very much looking forward to it. I hardly listen to shows from 80-86. Thanks for all these early 80's suggestions.

http://www.iorr.org/ More boots are at the above site, check out the Hot Stuff section (bottom right). I have never gotten anything from there, though.

I enjoy the Satanic sessions quite a bit, too.

hungercity.org and dimeadozen.org are two sites if you do the torrent thing. Don't forget they have released "official" bootlegs via mp3's or flacs (out side of the U.S. only for the flacs). Probably can purchase them through the Stones official site.

I think Lammy is referring to Baby Blue as a closer, more so than a singalong, though I probably "sang" along with Blue, too. I suppose the Weight needs to join "I shall be Released" and "This Land is Your Land", too.

Nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about Wilco and their releases. -

Must admit, somtimes, I think the same thing about linclink - a person with same member name as linclink plays the same role(promote live releases and the band in general) on another board I frequent - not a complaint, just an observation. -
Saw him (solo) open of for Dylan for a couple of shows in 2007 - not a particularly huge fan of Costello - but on those two nights he out performed Dylan. One of the shows was the last one of the tour and Elvis (with Amos Lee, the other opener) performed with Dylan and his band on I Shall be Released - great version.

I downloaded it off of Dime, but haven't watched it yet - perhaps after tonight's debate. -
Congrats to you and the Tigers.

I think I heard you call into the Tales from the Golden Road show on XM this past Sunday - nice call.

For my wife and I, Dire Wolf is our song of choice to sing aloud in bear country .

Still have the last show to listen to - definitely cohesive. All the shows seem to go by very fast. Regarding the 76 release - probably will get it. 76 is a decent year. I do enjoy the 76 Road Trip release quite a bit.

Listening to the Chrome Dreams boot again this evening - great record. I look forward to the Chicago show - the United Center is not ideal - I got floor seats (GA), hopefully it sounds good on the floor. ;

Yep - Live After Death is another.

Did Young/Fallon perform at all - I forgot to watch.

That's a great top 3. I always enjoyed Grateful Dead's "Grateful Dead" release, so personally it would be Coltrane's Vanguard , Ya-Ya's, and the Skull Fuck record. 4. Filmore 5. Live Dead

I imagine they will - they bumped Regis for god's sake - they better perform together....

Hopefully the soundtrack for "Charlie" will be cool. Will be nice to get a bunch of unedited, decent quality live 60's stuff.
-
Charlie is an old doc - saw it a long time ago on VHS - decent enough doc. It was released in some fashion, at least somewhat legally (perhaps one of those Europe grey market deals.) - I rented it from a video store in the late 80s

I saw Aerosmith in 90, too. I was little older (17) - great show. The Black Crowes opened. I was in the lawn with some friends - two of which were ushered up to the front row by a roadie before the show started - needless to say they were both girls (dudded out as hot as a 17 year old could) - I asked the roadie, if I could head up there, too and he just shook his head no. My two friends looked at me, tilted their heads, said sorry and headed to the front row. They didn't get to meet the band, though.

Should be, but I highly doubt it. Not enough record sales nor covers on the Rolling Stone.
