  1. I was at Brent's last show. I watched a DVD boot of it last month or so, it was a pretty uninspired show. The venue is horrible and they had issues with the town and venue, so I am assuming the band just wanted get the show done and over. They never did play the venue again (The World Music Theatre, now called something else...) I did have fun at the show - I started on the lawn and dance my way up towards the stage as the show progressed. I was 16 at the time and the kid I went worth got bored and headed back to the car during the set break. It was fun just hanging around various people in
  2. Perhaps they didn't include the Crimson release, because it was released as a DVD/CD combo package. I wasn't a huge fan of the Crimson release.
  3. There was a segment on Frampton on CBS This Morning yesterday. I never knew that he lost his Les Paul, due to a plane crash. The story of him getting his guitar back, somewhat recently, is pretty cool. I, like millions of others, had a copy of Frampton Comes Alive! on 8-Track. I haven't listened to it since I had a 8-Track player.
  4. Just listened to Grand Prix again last night - I think Verisimilitude is my favorite Teenage Fanclub song. Also just read an Sharon Van Etten interview in the Chicago Reader - good read, never heard any of her stuff before. Wouldn't mind hearing her stuff with Mike Reed. http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/sharon-van-etten-interview-with-chris-salveter/Content?oid=5634603
  5. That Buffalo DVD is probably my favorite later period DVD release. The Deal is a great one, as well as the Morning Dew. Below is info on DVD box set - The only ones I don't have is the So Far release - hopefully they release that one separately. I guess $99 is not a bad price, if you don't have any of these. The five songs from the archive, that is mentioned, is the songs from the Calibration show from August 30 1970. I had the show on my hard drive for a while and finally watched it a couple of days ago - a bit sloppy, but it was cool to see the old footage. http://www.youtube.com/watch
  6. How was the Phil show, Moss?
  7. Below is the source that I have on my hard drive - it looks like it culled from a combination of sources, including the the one you posted. http://bt.etree.org/...s.php?id=534039 Love Weir's version of Let Me In.
  8. Like the above? I have a similer one on my office desk.
  9. Haven't listened to that 6/24/70 show in awhile - sounds like a plan for later this morning. I finally invested in a stereo system, where I can plug in my hard drive directly into my CD/DVD player, it makes listening to boots a lot easier. I never perfered listening to shows on the laptop, so I always burn cds and play on my stereo system. All the burning gets a bit old... Also TRI will be rebroadcasting the Ratdog show - Lammycat, I did catch some of the Outlaw performance last month, too. I am not familar with them at all - it was good. I finally subscribed to a TRI email list, hopefully
  10. I haven't seen the Door County Auditorium show pop up, yet. Could be wrong, though (I hope I am wrong).
  11. I just listened to Sleeps with Angels yesterday, I agree it's great, one of my favorites of his. Driveby and Trans Am are two of my favorite tracks off the record.
  12. I haven't listened to Amused to Death in ages, I don't think I ever bought it. Radio KAOS is even okay, in my book, though I think Pros and Cons is better. I finally watched a bootleg DVD of Water's Wall perform - the Chicago show that was shot with multiple camerars - it was very entertaining. Still don't think I would spring for a ticket, but it definetly was good. Roger's voice, though never really great, has gotten a bit worse, but it still sounded okay. The band he is playing is steller.
  13. The Final Cut was the first cd I bought, back in the 80s. It is a great one. Kind have to agree with Wild Frank, I really have to be in the mood for Syd era Floyd - I perfer A Saucerful of Secrets to Pipers. I think Meddle is probably my favorite and Animals, second.
  14. I did at a Ryman show and at the Vic in Chicago - sure I was the only one at the Ryman and the wife and I were the only ones at the Vic (at least around me or us), but I didn't feel like an idiot. There is nothing wrong about clapping. Standing O is a great tune.
  15. Works for me using Firefox. Have WIndows Vista Home on the laptop
  16. They are performing here in Chicago on Friday, won't be able to make it, though. Would be curious to hear your thoughts on the show.
  17. Did anybody catch the Ratdog stream from the TRI Studios yesterday? I completely forgot about it.
  18. I don't think I have ever seen the "fast-pass" thing at any Chicago venue - though it has to be over 10 years since I saw a show at the House of Blues - dumb policy.
  19. It's a good one - don't remember why I missed the show - the recording is great.
  20. Yeah and into the AL Central - more great news for the White Sox this offseason.........
  21. http://www.shnflac.net/details.php?id=cc315e0d6a5cfb4afb9607f4f78b1b6cb6d807d7#expand Is yours the same as the above?
  22. Yes I did - it appeared that someone gave him a pair a shorts, eventually. I can't imagine all the "weird" stuff they saw from the stage through the years. I would think it would be a bit weird to have a naked dude standing over your shoulder while you are playing, but I am kinda thinking it just another day at work for them, especially during that era. I wonder if there more footage of the performance - below is the link, that I watched. It's a little over an hour long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6grV_WPWD-c
  23. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/bill-kreutzmann-jerry-garcia-wasn-t-really-happy-during-grateful-deads-end-20120117 Nice interview with Bill Kreutzmann. Also, I finally watched the entire Sunshine Daydream dvd - watching them perform the Dark Star was great.
