Ordered Vol. 2 this a.m. - I guess its good that Vol. 1 sold out and Vol. 2 is selling well, too. Weir's interview was pretty entertaining - "I thought I was president". Definitely will be seeing Furthur this summer in Chicago, for the first time. Haven't had the urge to see them, before, but looking forward to it, now. The venue they are playing is right on the lakefront - nice place to see a show. Must admit the ticket price bugs me a bit, but it is what it is.

Rice would be a decent choice - but I don't think she will be it, though - the conservative base hasn't been her biggest fan. I don't think it would be wise to pick anyone from the Bush circle - he did spend a shit load of money... I wouldn't completely rule out Bachman - though she may have already ruled herself out, already. A Rice/Biden debate would be interesting, though - Bachman/Biden, not so much.

I got the Europe box-set last August and I just listened to the last show a couple of weeks ago. I did listen to them chronologically. It took me a lot longer than I expected it to.

As Rick Talander wrote in today's column: Guillen said that he loved Castro in 2008. Perhaps Miami (and the group protesting the Marlins, now) should have done a bit of research, before hiring him. When I moved into my freshman dorm, a dude had a massive Marshall stack along the wall of his tiny dorm room, with a Gibson Flying-V always leaning up against it. He dropped out before years end - but it was fun as hell playing his gear. They only time I played through a Marshall.

I thought it was kinda of relaxing at the South Bend ballpark show - a completely different vibe than a theater/club show. Saw Dylan/Mellencamp/Nelson at a ballpark down near St. Louis - thought that was fun, too.

It was kinda of an impulse buy on my part - they seem to play around the Chicago area, quite a bit. Somewhat recently, Hidalgo mentioned to a press member that he was in the studio with Dylan, again.

That's good to see - the South Bend show was the same. It will be my daughter's first show.

I just bought Just Another Band from East L.A. from a Half Price books yesterday --- of course when I brought it home to play it, the discs were not in the package, so I will heading back there this afternoon. This is my first purchase from these guys, my brother has quite a bit of their catalog, though - still haven't gotten around to see them perform, yet.
