they are still available - at least the BUY button is there - I have a ticket so I have gone through all the procedures. Did you get Vic ticket Lou?

Put this on our tree last night - so it's officially Christmas in the calvino loft. My sister got this for me back in 97, one of my favorite gifts ever. Got love the Dead/Garcia estate for getting in the Christmas "capitalist" spirit - damn hippies.

"No, Tetsu, you take that (quaalude) after the gig." Ronnie to Tetsu - from the Five Guys box set. War just played at my neighborhood's street party this past August - my neighbor said it was a somewhat decent show. I am not sure which original members are still playing with them.

Another interview with Stewart http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/rod-stewart-ill-definitely-make-myself-available-for-a-faces-reunion-20111207#ixzz1fsA2HSlT Considering that Stewart wasn't in the Small Faces, I am not sure if he should an opinion if the Small Faces should be in as their own band or not or at least he should understand where Mac is coming from. Also, the whole thing of Mac should consider "himself lucky that he's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" is little odd and seems like a bit of a put-down - but whatever, it's the R&RHoF.

Must admit, I probably will pay more attention to the Marlins this summer than the White Sox.
-
Sure they could (and 50's pop stars) - but that don't have to.

http://www.music-new...l&nItemID=46676 Pretty cool, I guess.

I think it depends if you got your tickets through Front Gate or eTix.
-
I got it for the Vic, not the Riv. Didn't get a ticket for the Metro.

It sounds like Stewart is excited, at least. from the Chicago Tribune: http://www.chicagotr...0,1684881.story

Couldn't agree more - that should be fun, too.

Same here (about the Cure). This year's lineup is good overall, though. I am sure Stewart will play with the Faces, unless he has a gig planned already. Not a big fan of the Chili Peppers, but they should be entertaining. Dowd and Johns are very worthy editions, also. I don't remember the last time I watched any of these festivities - probably since they were aired on VH-1 or MTV.

Strings/valves/drum heads break, too - so even when one is listening to it live, you get screwed. I think CD's are going to be around longer than 10 years, just a guess, though. Besides bootleg torrents, I don't do downloads. Though, I am finally upgrading my audio system to where I can attach a hard drive directly to it and also stream music and have it run through my house speaker set up - so I will see how that changes my opinion of downloads.

Definitely one of em. (Dylan and Willie, being two more). Everyone has bad show once in awhile. That being said, I would have been a bit bummed if I sprang for a ticket.

I did watch the Blue Sky performance, it was pretty painful to watch. I think Allman needs to take some more time off, get completely well, then head back out again.

Wouldn't mind reading your thoughts of the ABB shows. Below is VC's ABB thread. I read mixed reviews of Greg's performance. http://viachicago.org/topic/39053-the-allman-brothers-band/page__hl__allman__st__200

Definitely looks like a nice set - nice to Standing O back in there.
-
Some Instant replay has been implemented - definitely can change an outcome of a game/stats.

I guess it's pretty cool to be in the same category with Jeff Beck (and Les Paul). http://www.grammy.com/nominees

I haven't heard Rich's album, either. He may be a lucky guy, I guess, but I think he is a decent songwriter and brought a lot to the Black Crowes' table. I guess I always enjoyed Rich's role in the Crowes, more so than Chris's, who I found to be a bit annoying at times. I always enjoyed Richards over Jagger, too. I guess I am saying lead singers annoy me. Listening to Warpaint, now - haven't listened to it in a while - holds up nicely.
