  1. Below is a link for all the Garcia stuff up for bid. You ain't kiddin' about the comic books, jw -- quite a bit of them. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25922/#/!
  2. I am guessing the Garcia Estate still owns the stuff up for auction.
  3. Man, I would love to own the Alligator. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25922/lot/323/ It's kinda of crazy that it was originally bought by Nash for $250.
  4. 'eh I find him amusing -- he has an impossible gig.
  5. I have the book on hold at my library --- looking forward to it.
  6. https://nugs.tv/free/?showID=131&utm_source=nugsnewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=101119_webcasts This is nice.
  7. yeah - looking forward to Dave's pick -- I am sure I have heard the show before, but I am horrible at remembering such things.
  8. I was talking about checking out the Ready or Not from the library --- I am a subscriber to the Dave's Pick releases, so I will be getting a copy of that.
  9. Yeah, definitely just a library check out for me.
  10. Finishing up Alice Munro's, The Beggar Maid --- a great set of stories.
  11. Finally see the real reason why Richards bugs Analogman so much--- all because of what Keith said about the Bee Gees in 1969 in a Rolling Stone interview: It is kinda funny - Keith has bagging bands since, at least, '69. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/keith-richards-a-1969-rant-242634/
  12. Never easy hearing about a death, but 78 a great, ripe age. I think he was still writing until the end for various people. Wish he could have wrote at least one tune for Dead & Co -- but that probably would have been to close to the bone with him, not to mentioned that probably neither the band or him had any desire to do so. Always enjoyed that he was such a private dude, for the most part. I followed his travel/concert blog that he kept, during the late 90's or maybe early '00's - always was an interesting read. Only caught him play a few times, with two of those times at the Terra
  13. 2 pitches - jeez. Horrible, indeed! And again just now in the 9th, they give up the lead. Being a White Sox fan -- I was just hoping for a Chicago team in the playoffs -- not likely, now.
  14. My brother and I grabbed 3rd row tickets for his show next month at UIC. It will be about 5 years to the date of the upcoming show since I saw him last. UIC is not the best place for a show --- but hopefully being that close that sound of the venue won't hinder it, too much. Just re-watched that above "Can't Wait" --- hopefully he is still playing that rendition.
  15. I think Nicks gave them the whole 'it's me or Lindsey' ultimatum.
  16. While looking through my old records, I still have my older sister's copy of the below. Still have not spun it, yet.
  17. Jeff Tweedy looked like a sort of Chicago rocker variant of a garden gnome, That's pretty funny...
  18. Yeah, I read up on Xolo's before we got him, definitely an interesting breed, esp. from a historical perspective. They were not exactly sure about which other breed he is mixed with -- definitely looks like it may have a a bit of pit or other terrier in it - has a brown-spotted chest and paws. He is about 41 pounds and about 18 - 20 inches tall. Great temperament, thus far, especially with my kids and all the visitors we have had, with the exception of my dad, who has to carry an small oxygen tank - the dog was afraid of the tank and did not particularly care for it. Definitely needs a
  19. In the late 80's, record companies in general did great marketing of 60's bands in general with the Freedom Rock commercials. Guessing they were piggybacking off the resurgence of the Grateful Dead's 87 Touch of Grey hit.
  20. Of course, Eddie will destroy most of the entire world's band's marketing out of the water.... (Maiden has been great at it from the start)
  21. I always thought Zeppelin did a great job with their Swan Song and blimp logos. --- I had few similar buttons on my Van Halen hat in the early 80s. And all the 'cool people' or at least the rest of the burnouts always knew who the four symbols represented.
  22. Crap, you should let me know when you dip down and I could grab them. I will check to see, if by chance if I did grab those.
  23. Bought a dog from the local shelter --- the kids have been hounding us for a year or so. A one year old Xoloitzuinti mix - a fine layer of hair on it, definitely will need to get it a coat for him come fall, though. A pretty cool looking dog I must say. So far it's been great with the kids.
  24. MacDougall was part of As the Crowe Flies, too.
