Thx - I guess at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, I'll head up to check it out regardless.

This will be my first RSD since I got a turntable - gonna try to nab one. Not going out of my way to get there super early to get in - the train schedule allows me 15 minutes prior to opening. Is it typical to call a store to see even if they will a copy or two to sell. Not really sure how this works. The RSD info sheet reads the below. Should I assume the will have copy or two of Warmer. Hyde Park Records Select Record Store Day titles. 11 AM-8 PM, 1377 E. 53rd St., 773-288-6588, hydeparkrecords.com.

I checked out Jorma's book from the library but did not get to around to read it before was due back. Still plan on reading it at some point. I have been reading the below - got a signed copy last month when I purchased the Duane Allman Skydog vinyl set (great set by the way). Only up to the point where him and Gregg formed the Hourglass. She is a pretty great writer. Enjoy the personal take, even though she doesn't remember him at all.

Ha! - same for Go-Go's for me. For months after hearing a song played on WXRT, I kept thinking 'a great comeback from "Brandi" from the Go-Go's' ---- Then finally my wife corrected me. CBS Sunday Morning had a great segment on her a couple of Sunday's ago. I guess Brandi splits all the songwriting credits with two other musicians ( who happen to be twin brothers) in the band, three ways,

We all know Garcia and Dylan were just jealous of Jagger.....

Ego will probably will make him run again, but I wonder if him and his family are making as much money as they thought they would with him being president. I am guessing it will play into his decision to run again or not. Plus, I am not sure he is completely out of the woods, yet - there are plenty of outlier things going on, that the Mueller probe was not even focusing on. At this point, I wish the D's in Congress would drop the whole impeachment stuff and let the possible courts handle it, esp. the New York court. Also, I don't think the probe results will sway previous non-Trump su

Nugs.tv is doing a free webcast of Hot Tuna, tonight - currently in between sets. Great to watch - I still haven't gotten around to seeing them out live, yet. Total pros.

I need to listen to that show again - that show was one of the first tapes I got back in the day.

US Blues could be a let down at times.

Which two things? At first, I didn't believe that was him in that picture playing the guitar...

I came across it yesterday, too --- anybody ever had any interactions with Healy, before. I never have, but it seemed like he was pretty accessible for a chat at the board, at least for the tapers. Funny that Heineken (see the box in the article) pops up again in this thread...

A nice interview/article with Weir. https://www.ocregister.com/2018/01/25/bob-weir-talks-old-school-viral-marketing-opera-at-the-namm-2018-breakfast-of-champions/

Yeah - I enjoyed Lucky, too. Great characters throughout.

That is why I had not drank Heineken in so long --- there were not many other options and it was tasty and more importantly - free and not skunky. I can wait another 25 years to have it again, though.
-
Speaking of Lesh - I had a few Heineken's last night at a work function - has to be well over 25 years since I had one - pretty tasty.

I ordered it via the JGB website - it's out for delivery, but I have not gotten it, yet.

Pretty sure that house is at 2123 W. Thomas in Chicago. Guess it could have been Bennett's place - his studio Pieholden Suite Sound was about 5 blocks south of this house.

I did take advantage of the sale on the LP - look forward to hearing it on LP. They might just want to move out the old inventory to make room for deluxe or just get people to buy it while it is on sale and then hope they will buy it again when the deluxe comes out...

Never realized that Tweedy uses a copy of Deadbase as springboard for his own tunes... Has any one spotted a copy in the Loft???? Bet he just leaves it in his study at home, so nobody pokes fun of him.

The echo during the 'nothings' was a nice touch --- and that set list I posted earlier was sure way off.
-
Yeah that would have been cool to see. I found the below a bit funny - apparently who ever sent the set list into setlist.com was not one of the seven jumping out of their skulls. Nice placement of Misunderstood, too.

I do find it humorous every time Cohen shakes his head after talking to a republican. Also it also seems like all the R's really want to get in the book agent business and they are angling for their first client. Of course Cohen is going to write a book.

Man - Phil lets it loose during the 10.25.85 Let it Grow.

Just found out that you can bid on records on Reverb - kinda fun. I am with you on it being better than Discogs - esp browsing the site.

I'll check out 85 next -- right at the end of the 3.24.70 show, you can hear firecrackers being set off. From the clarity of the sounds, they must have been set off on stage. Reminds me of the late 70's shows when the band asks the fans not to set off firecrackers in the crowd. Who the hell would think that is a fun or good idea. The Stones and Zeppelin had those issues, too - at least from I heard from boots.
