  1. Maybe Gray will bring it up with his discussion with Tim Daisy at the below show later on this month. I think they typically stream these shows. https://ess.org/esscalendar/option-daringray
  2. Yeah - have always enjoyed seeing that Iommi pic.
  3. Now, I have that Rocky/Mr. T bout in my head. I had both debates in the background -- way too many people for me to get into it, though. Sanders and Biden just need to step aside and I agree about Warren, she seems the most cogent and so far and I think she will be great up against Trump, I am in her corner -- none of the others are cutting through all the noise that is being created by the people in the ring.
  4. Does a June 17th 1991 Grateful Dead concert at a movie theater count??? also enjoy the Stones show!
  5. Definitely not abbreviated --- I just brought it up because the whole logistic angle of filing in and out between shows was brought up. Both shows were indeed great. A friend was able to tape the 1st show, but got nabbed during the 2nd - they just took the dat -- they even let him stay for the remainder of the show, if I remember correctly. I think the Park West shows were announced a very shortly before the actual shows. The Park West shows were on 10/26/99 -- he was back in town, after playing 3 more shows elsewhere, on the 31st at UIC, where he played with Phil at UIC. I remember a bit u
  6. Yeah, I went to an early and late Bob Dylan show once at the Park West in Chicago - it was a bit of a cluster-fuck. I did have friends who were only going to the late show, so they had been in line for a bit -- I did slide right into their spot as I was getting out of the early show, so in hindsight, perhaps I was part of the cluster creation. (Dylan did announce both shows at the same time though, unlike Garcia.)
  7. Did most people typically end up going to both shows, then.
  8. Yes, that's the concert that will be played at the movie theaters -- we are talking about the box set announcement that will happen prior to the 7/17/91 showing. The box set dates/info are still a mystery...
  9. It is kinda nice not knowing --- me and two friends will be catching the movie on Thursday -- I can't see it being kept secret until then, though. I am guessing once the theaters get the actual movie in it's possession, it will leak. I will try to keep my ears and eyes closed, until then, though. If is a 89 - 91 type release, though - I probably will skip it.
  10. The timing and the sound of Nels glass slide hitting the floor was perfect - glad a mic picked it up.
  11. Crap - I listened to the 7/26/80 show -- not 7/25.
  12. It must have been the late show - they didn't play Tangled in the early show. Curious if people were bummed that the early and late shows during this period only lasted a little over an hour or so? I did listen to both of these shows today and they sounded pretty great. Ozzie's playing usually bugs me, but during these shows, the mix was great.
  13. Saw this pic on another site --- how can someone not have a blast at a Maiden show....
  14. someone posted this on a Stones site -- what a great performance... Bob Dylan - Can't Wait - Hyde Park, London 12 July 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip01n-M7N_M
  15. Stay hydrated -- enjoy! I haven't been to a Pitchfork since the 1st two -- both very enjoyable weekends.
  16. Speaking of anniversaries - 30 years ago was my 1st show - Alpine.
  17. Ha! We vacationing in Canada next month for a week.
  18. You're killing me --- we'll check it out. Forgot to mentioned that the laugh track in Miranda, threw us off --- laugh tracks always bug me, it was only mildly annoying, though.
  19. We haven't gotten around to watch Season 3, yet ---- my kid has been begging me to let him watch it, but I knew it would be too much for him - he is 10 --- but last night, I turned Season 1 - Ep. 1 on for him---he lasted up to the point of Will running off the road on his bike, which is a whopping 6 minutes in or so, he then told me it was ok for me to turn it off... Also last night, The wife and I did watch episode 1 of Miranda -- definitely funny stuff. Earlier in the week we finished the 2nd season of Fleabag -- season 2 was even better than 1. Great, great stuff.
  20. I kinda agree ---- which is why I never got into the Q (i did see them 2 or 3 times) or in a no real hurry to see JRAD.
  21. I had planned to go to the JRAD show, but my wife booked a different show (Heart and Sheryl Crow of all things) for her to go to tonight, prior to me bringing it up. No real big deal, I guess though. I'd be curious to know if the outside lawn area is open (the area where you can't really see the stage). I wonder how much of draw they get. I think this will be the biggest venue they have ever played in Chicago.
  22. Garcia's guitar playing on that Stella Blue is great.
