Forgot to mentioned that Jagger's harmonica solo during Rambler was a major highlight, too.

Yeah, the whole Lightfoot and Burke moment was pretty cool.... I wish all the songs were 'deep cuts'. Keith was definitely not at his finest, but I really enjoyed the sound of his guitar/amp set up. Sure he hit bum notes/chords, but they sounded great. I am hoping for a better performance from him on Tuesday, though.

Pretty great show last night. The sound on the field was a bit of an echo chamber - a lot of delay off the back of the stadium. We were sitting right even with the delay speaker towers that were facing the back of stadium, so I am guessing that was was the issue. Towards the end of the show we went to the end of the bowl and it sounded better. The band definitely was a bit rusty - but the guitar tones were fantastic --- Jagger sounded pretty great, too. Highlights were Sad, Sad, Sad and You got me Rocking. The only bit of clunker was Let's Spend the Night together. Midnight Rambler cooked

While out on a drive, the whole family saw a hawk swoop down and get a snake (looked like a garter). Most thought it was awesome, seeing it fly up in the air with it in its talons - except the seven year daughter who thought it was scary.

I'll be there on Tuesday, too. They released some more GA tickets a bit ago, so I grabbed one. Will be heading to that one, solo.

Hard Rain was from the 2nd leg of Rolling Thunder (1976). I have not listened to Hard Rain or Real Live in a long while. I never actually owned either - my library system has The Bob Dylan Complete Album Collection Vol. 1, so I have them on a hard drive I recently bought an old copy Before the Flood on vinyl --- it was the first Dylan CD that I ever bought, though I did have a dubbed copy of Blood on the Tracks that I taped off the radio, prior to the CD purchase

When the Bootleg Series, Vol. 5 - Bob Dylan Live 1975: The Rolling Thunder Revue was released, a DVD came with it with ISIS and Tangled up in Blue on it --- I don't know if the ISIS performance on the DVD is the same one in the documentary. I watched that DVD a lot when I first got it. A great performance.

Perhaps that was Dylan and Scorsese intention --- so they succeeded, who knows. I have been watching it on and off this weekend -- still have about a 1/2 hour left. Definitely enjoyable. I didn't realize (more to the point, I forgot) that the van Dorp dude was fiction -- for me it made the whole cockroach quote way more enjoyable, once I remember was fake... Dylan and Scorsese could have went the traditional 'documentary' route ---- creating the fake stuff is a even harder (more expensive) route. More power to 'em. Eh - I have always had an enjoyable enough time at a Dead & Co show. The tempo's never bothered me, too much and I don't agree that every tune has the same tempo, per se -- but each tune has definitely has been tweaked, tempo wise, but it never seems to me that the band is just going through the motions. That being all said I am skipping the Chicago shows this year. As far a Mayer goes - I am fine with him. At first I thought it was going to be this year's box set announcement and I was happy to be saving money this year.... I had friends (who all had tickets) go to this show -- they enjoyed it. Ohio freaked me out, even back then - so I wasn't too upset that I couldn't go, due to work.
