I am surprised they didn't throw in "paid' liberal mob. Since the election, It has been a running joke among my local 'liberal mob' - "We are going to be getting our checks in the mail any day now and we are going to be rich, rich, rich!"
-
Yeah - I don't revisit 76 too often, either. I would have preferred a 68 or 69 show - but so it goes. Will give it a listen when it comes in and hope for the best.

The latest Dave's Pick was just announced - 6.17.76 - Capital Theater. Not sure if I ever hear it before.

That made me chuckle -- (perhaps I spend too much time on grade school playgrounds, while I pick up kids up from school....) One of these days I am going to venture in the world of podcasts. I think I listened to some of Moran's interview with Keith Richards.

That's great.

For some reason I haven't revisited the Warfield 80 run in a while - perhaps because I have been listening to Dead Set and For The Faithful since the beginning of my Dead listening... Anyway - listening to 10/11/80 this a.m. --- Brent really shines on Rosalie McFall -- such great runs throughout the tune. I would be happy with a box set of the run. 15 shows. I guess they could add the 8 shows from Radio City. The band sure were busy from 9/25 through 10/31 https://archive.org/details/gd1980-10-11.142012.sbd.smith.miller.clugston.flac2496/Gd80-10-11S1t03RosalieMcfall.flac

that youtube is skipping for me -- thanks for that other link, though. I can't remember - did the movie come out first then the record?
-
yeah -- I read about that - which made me think about the record again.
-
I think the first time I saw the movie was renting it from a video store.

30 years ago for Rattle and Hum -- i do remember buying the record when it was released. It must have been right before I got around to buy a cd player. Don't remember watching this Smile Jamaica Benefit Concert, 16-October-1988 at The Dominion Theatre, London show before --- Richard's guitar tone is god awful during When Love Comes to Town, it' not too bad during Love Rescue Me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKJTobOH9UE&feature=youtu.be

Also, when Zoberist slid back to first - the umpire called him out - replay showed he was safe, but I saw some games where a call that close wasn't overturned. But also, the Rockies made some mistakes on their own, and the Cubs could not capitalize. Especially the non-catch by the Rockies right-fielder, Baez could have called for interference with his hug, too. It was just a frustrating game to watch and I am not really a Cubs fan. Maddon should stick around, too.

Go Brewers! Tough game last night -- I couldn't stay up for the game -- was hoping to see that they won. The Cubs got lucky quite bit last night and could not capitalize - pretty frustrating.

He used the calendars as a method of keeping a journal -- I guess his father did the same thing.

Re-listened to 10.1.77 again this morning - what a great Music Never Stops -- the drummers on throughout.
-
Just listened to Signe's last show and Grace's first show yesterday. Got Jorma's auto-bio, too - but haven't read it, yet. Very nice piece by Jorma - thanks for the link.

Agreed ---- never thought the FBI would get involved --- take back what I said about Flake -- glad he got it out of the committee, so the full Senate can have some input. Guessing the Senate will create some new rule that any committee person not running for reelection is off any committee...Flake really put a wrench in things.
-
Listening to 4/1/88's When Push Comes To Shove -- yeah, how can anyone not like the tune? Such fun!
-
or you know Sen. Flake, you could have just voted no today while in committee and asked for an investigation...
-
Yeah ---- unless something else pops up in the next 24 hours -- physical evidence (pictures , etc...), which proves that he lied under oath -- of course he would be able to spin a picture, too. Yesterday's sham didn't change anything with the R's. Going into yesterday, I didn't think Kavanaugh could pull off a more assholeness performance then he had during the first hearings, of course I was wrong. He reminded me be many of the high school douchebags that I went to school with, before any of these allegations popped up.

New Jeff Tweedy album November 30th (called WARM)

At first glance I thought it was Owen Wilson. -
The price of More Blood, More Tracks has been dropping - it's at $114, now. I bit the bullet and pre-ordered. Also, just got the 'A Simple Twist of Fate' book from the library yesterday.

They all seemed completely bored in that footage. It was cool to see Nicky Hopkins play the Wurlitzer --- at least I think it was a Wurlitzer. Harrison's tone was great, too --- though it too seemed a little uninspired.

Looks like Glenn plays on the record, too -- from the WIlco HQ email. Jeff (with additional drums by Spencer Tweedy + Glenn Kotche). -

Indeed --- caught the show up in Minneapolis, the new tunes sounded pretty good. Looking forward to the release. -
Agree with the rest - a nice read.
