It is kind of funny that the site tells you how long it will take you to drive to the nearest Trump or Clinton voting district - in case someone needs to hightail it out of somewhere, I guess... It will take me 15 minutes to get the nearest Trump district -- - oddly enough, the area they point me to is my parents neighborhood. They both voted for Clinton, so I will be a safe house, in a way. Out of my two sisters, my brother, and my parents - I am the only one that lives a Clinton area. Even my sister who lives up near Minneapolis lives in a Trump pocket. Of course I think my two sister bo

Man - there is a lot different shades of red on that map.....

A friend of mine had a B-Bender - they are fun to play, though I really never got the hang of playing it well.

That video was awesome -- thanks!

The below is pretty cool. Would love to hear and see that guitar in action. from: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/byrds-co-founders-plan-sweetheart-of-the-rodeo-50th-anniversary-tour-629457/

Read that while vacationing --- quick read. Nice format, chapter-wise, with each covering a single episode. Definitely learned a lot. I do wish him and Weir would have wrote more songs together. Picking up that latest Dead book from the library today - the one that deals with 95 and after. I wonder how far I will get. Now reading the below - walked by her Savannah home last week, so I figured it was time to revisit her. Just poking around. In the middle of 'Parker's Back', now - man it's a good one...

Scream for me, Via Chicago!!!!!!!!!

Glad John is finding work -- hopefully he is well compensated or at least well enough. I wonder if he and the rest get any retainer fee from Wilco, Inc. during the down time. I am guessing some, but probably not much. for some reason I did a Google search on Wilco, Inc. and the below popped up - which I found a bit amusing.

With regards to the latest pick and Reading from the taping compendium - i have listened to the show, but don't remember it. The below triggered my memory. “Citizens of Boise, submit or perish - you are a conquered people!”

Looks like it's sold out already. Always enjoyed the Dick's Pick 83 show. (Vol 6)

11/2/83 - not sure if I heard this one before. "The Grateful Dead picked up their instruments and hit the first note with perfection. They never missed a note for the next three and one-half hours. People followed the flow of the tunes. Down on the floor in front of the stage was a sea of heads keeping time with the music. No one sat still. No one, except the youngsters behind us sat still. They were still and stunned." - The Power County Press And what a stunner it was, that show at the Boise State University Pavilion in Boise, ID on September 2, 1983. Dave's Picks Volume 27 contains every

Yeah --- I am in the HVAC boat and ours has been taking on immense water -- of course we try to talk to the GC's who hired us and it's an uphill battle. This whole crap show has been hitting my family --- our good friend's mom was the plaintiff in the Supreme Court case that upheld the Muslim ban, not to mention an old classmate of mine has been all over cable news as a Trump puppet head in this border crisis - guessing he was picked because he is a conservative with a latino sounding name -- I still can't grasp my head around the fact that he is up there defending it and yet he comes from t

I think it's fine to say and think that 'we're fucked' (because we are) and be optimistic at the same time. This country has been fucked before and we got out of it. This one will definitely take time - but barring nuclear annihilation - we have time to do it. Of course, Trump, the R's in Congress and Supreme Court may completely changed the Constitution - it that happens, it will take even a lot longer.

Northerly Island is nice -- but you can't see the stage if you are out on the lawn -- at least back in 2013 when I saw Phish, you couldn't. The had screens, though. I saw Furthur abd stood in the general admission area, where the stage is visible and it sounded okay. Can't beat the backdrop of the city, either. I live about 10 minutes away from the World in Tinley --- Last summer, after a 21 year hiatus, I finally went back to see a show there. It still wasn't the best sounding venue ---- but I wouldn't mind if Dead & Co play there. It beats heading back up to Alpine. Must admit, read

Oh yeah - now I see that road via google. I did see people heading out on the road. I didn't go that way, because I wasn't sure where it lead to. Never thought I would write it - but just keep the shows at Wrigley....
-
Townline leads into the Alpine Valley Resort - not the actual Music Theater. People in the know or VIP's may get to park there, though - and then walk over to the theater -- it seems to be connected.
-
It is so secret that Google doesn't even know... Townline Road is the road we always use -- most direct route to our Camp Site (Pinewood at Kettle Marine South).
-
Yeah --- I didn't want to deal with buses, because knowing our luck somehow we would have missed it. The wife and I had a deal - I kept my head on Friday and she on Saturday - it worked out great. Friends of mine did a campground/bus thing and they came to the lot around 4:30 or so --- forget where they camped, though. One of the main reasons why we got back to our camp ground so late on Friday was because highway patrol would not let us go down the street we needed to go on to get our campsite. The re-route took for ever. The officer guarding the same street on Saturday - let us pass.
-
Alpine definitely was a cluster-fuck. Luckily we got up there early on Friday, set up camp and then headed to the lot around 3 pm. We got there around 1 pm on Saturday -- neither day was an issue getting in. We left during Sugar Magnolia on Saturday (not noticing that Weir took a swing at his mic. stand) - figuring One More Sat. would be the encore - and we zipped right out and was asleep by midnight at our campsite. Friday we didn't make it back till closer to 2 am. We didn't have any issues with security - though I did see someone get busted for selling pipes. No one even came up to me t

I'll be up both for both nights --- originally it was going to be a bunch of us -- now it's just me and my wife. Family stuff got in the way of many. The wife and I do love our kids --- but they will survive...

A immigration lawyer friend of ours recommended the below organization to us - we donated ---- also letters/postcards were sent earlier this week. Keep at it, folks. https://supportkind.org/

At least your Braves got a win on Father's Day ---- hopefully you were able to enjoy watching it.

no better rock song than Tumbling Dice - original Exile version. Happy Father's Day - to those who apply.
