More than likely the re-release - it was on my hard drive, I remember getting the re-release from the library. My brother is the Pearl Jam fan and he has all the original releases. He is the one who always bugged me in the early 90's when he wanted to play Pearl Jam/Jane's Addiction and I wanted to play Phish/Dead...

Yeah I heard it on the radio - not so good. This past weekend the wife and I had a early 90's alt Friday night - part of it was listening to Ten (complete) and bouncing around Vs. and Vitalogy. Never have been a huge fan, but it was fun listening to Ten, again.

I think Jay is just fine with where he is at.

Back in time for baseball - perfect timing. Hopefully your ears get back in shape at some point.

I thought the Loop send-off was great -- everyone showed up but Garry. The Brandmeier/Kilman/Bruce Wolf was a highlight. Also Joe Walsh and Danny Bonaduce. Really glad the Loop/WLS let this happen -- one time having all these damn radio stations being owed by a few companies, worked out.

I know they were working on the harmonies a lot during this period, so you might be right. I just didn't think Jerry (or Phil) could get his vocals that high - pitch wise.

Studio wizardry. I can be wrong, though. That's why American Beauty is a treasure - great songs and great production.
-
I would say Bob is singing all the vocals on the studio version of Sugar Magnolia. Double tracked. I know they did one of those Classic Album shows on American Beauty. (Anthem to Beauty or something like that) perhaps they talk about it on that doc. I don't remember.

She was great, too. Forgot about her.

NoJ - Dahl is going to be simulcasting on the Loop (from WLS) tomorrow. 2 to 6. He has calls into the old gang (Brandmeier/Daniels/Matthews, etc.). Even Garry - should be interesting if Garry goes on the air. Anyway nice way to end things. Also the below is an ok read - came across it while poking around a library. (sorry the large pic)

Congrats to you and your kid. I am nowhere near being a grandparent ---- but one of my best enjoyments is seeing my p's being grandparents to my kids. Not sure if they really enjoyed being parents ---- but they kill at grandparenting...

I didn't think so - pretty cool that they got to play there again after all these years.

Nice performance.

The Wheel was a bit of a train wreck, too, with Trey's vocal flub. Thought it sound good overall, though. Has Phil or Bobby played there, since 80? I think the 80 run was the only time the Dead played there.

I spent in month in Hawaii in the summer of 1982 - I remember being amazed that I could tune into the Loop and seeing so many Loop t-shirts worn by the locals. Doing some reading today, I guess it makes sense why the Loop was so popular there. Guessing it was popular everywhere. Of course growing up in Chicago, I knew it was a big deal - just thought it was a local thing, though. It was a lot of fun to listen to in the 80's

That is cool - nice gift and party.

My friend had a 22 and a shot gun. We would shoot targets and such. I did more watching than shooting. He was a few years older than me and in hind-sight we were always unsupervised - which may have not been wise, but we survived, as well as everyone and thing around us... He still is a big gun guy - don't think he ever leaves his house without one - I have never asked him if was a NRA member.
-
I think they last time I shot a rifle was when I was 14.
-
Yeah - my wife told me about the hunting angle, last night --- I should have stated, I didn't realize that one had to be 21 for a handgun -- I always figured it was 18 across the board.
-
Up to last week or so, I never realized that one had to be 21 to buy a handgun, but 18 to buy a rifle-type gun. Seems a bit weird. It is great that businesses and some states are at least trying to curtail guns, while of course DC does nothing...

Guess Tweedy should get a mention --- 'i'm serious'.

I didn't think so -- guess they just monitor the copyright materials - which makes sense.
-
No the non-official ones that work the shakedown.
-
Yeah - my kid happens to need a new mitt and there is a Dick's near us - so it will work out nicely.

Curious if you know if vendors pay the band for a licence or the municipality the show is in? Or do they pay anything at all.
