Maddon pulls Schwarber for a pitch hitter and Almora comes through. Quintana and Scherzer both let down by their bullpen and perhaps managers.

You Got Lucky may be my favorite Petty tune - always enjoyed the video, too. That was a nice piece. Thx.

4 errors in 6 innings - 2 errors on one play. Take Quintana out and then next batter makes it 1-0 Nationals. Not good. Schwarber better get that run back with his bat.

Great, exciting 9th inning in last night's Yankees/Indians game. Chapman is something else. All around, a great pitched game. Cub's bullpen really blew a great Lester start -- looking forward to see how Quintana handles the pressure, today.

Yeah - that was a great piece by Hood. Thanks for that.

Yeah - Cleveland is the team to beat this year - which I don't think anybody will. There are a few ex-Chicago players on the Yankees.

Watched the first 3 innings - the rest via the radio - always liked Sutcliffe in the booth - Berman isn't too annoying today. Sale definitely didn't have it today - which is a bummer. Must admit wanted Sale to win his games and Red Sox to loose the series.

Stinks that today's Boston/Houston game is on MLB.com. I sprung for SLING TV so I can watch most of the games, but the FREE 2018 Spring Training games is not enticing enough to purchase the MLB playoff TV package, too. Would love to watch the Sale/Verlander match up though. The kid's may be sitting in a pub doing their homework and eating ice cream for a while today after school.

They should wait a few years and put the Cure, Depeche Mode, and Joy Division/New Order in at one fell swoop. It would make for the most goth, saddest, danciest. and perhaps most awesomeness ceremony ever.

Just spent yesterday with my brother and sister-in-law - both huge fans. She is going to take it very hard. For the past 25 years, every time he passes through, they go see him. It was always a huge event for her. Sad news, indeed.

I always forget about the above site - it is usually a funny read -- his riffs on Billy are great. Like:

I witnessed that at an Earle show, too --- during the Jerusalem tour. Of course he started talking about the war ,the Bushes and the Muslim religion - people were either leaving or voicing their disapproval -- I had to wonder if they bother purchasing Jerusalem... A lot of people apparently only cling to Guitar Town.

I forgot about that - I thought for the time being he was going to replace the Sessions' seat. I guess the Democrat has been polling close, recently - but it definitely will be hard take the general. But one never knows. Hopefully the D's and moderate R's/I's come out and actually vote in the general.

god help us ---- It's great that Trump's pick lost, but having Moore in the Senate is pretty scary. I haven't completely fact checked the below but it was taken from a Washington Post article: Regarding Moore: one quick search the below link popped up. And this man was elected to the US Senate. Democracy sure has it's flaws... (guess Moore rode his horse to his voting station to cast his own ballot - nice touch) https://qz.com/1088001/roy-moore-likely-to-become-the-next-senator-from-alabama-has-a-history-of-racism/

Thanks for sharing - Enjoy the show and best wishes to you and your family!

Yeah - I thought Cohens stayed in - it was close. I rarely watch football anymore - but that great/dumb play to end the 1st half and end of the game - made it an entertaining game - (though I had the Cubs game on for the most part watching Quintana pitch a great game)

Wonder if the band requested an appointment to take a peak at the Dylan archives at the Univ. of Tulsa. -
Great ending for the Bears game. Finally.

I have been watching bits and pieces of the Vietnam doc (I plan to watch it all) , but with all the crap going on presently, it so depressing watching it. During the start of the war we were suppose to have the 'best and brightest' running things and look what that brought us. I think the current administration is far from 'the best and brightest' - but who knows, perhaps an oil CEO and a developer can oversee and run wars better - i am not banking on it, though.

The Cubs are definitely getting it together at the right time. Timely hitting (and walking), decent fielding - looking forward to the playoffs.

My buddy mentioned the above to me last night and I thought he had too much too smoke.

Not me - but my wife is catching Ted Leo and The Record Company tonight at a Goose Island Block Party.

I only saw Raging Bull for the 1st time a couple of month's ago - found it very unsettling. It was good, but I had a stomachache afterwards. Never knew the politics of Woods, before. Always enjoyed his acting, though.
