Yeah - I should have wrote, 'besides Joe' --- Lackey didn't even look too confident.
-
Curious to know if anyone didn't think that Lackey was going to give up a home run or at least a hit to Turner?
-
Yankees were down 2-0 in the Cleveland series and I figured they were done. I like this Yankee team. Verlander was incredible, yesterday.
-
Plus Dylan was 24 in 65. Imagine that - 24 - with all those tunes already under his belt.
-
Yeah it does suck - I have been getting Sling for October the last few years.

Great news for one of my local brewers. Great place and great people. Prior to opening their establishment, they were (and still are) members of a home brew club (www.bossbeer.org) that I hang with. Great news for them, too. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/opinion/ct-sta-slowik-hailstorm-medal-st-1013-20171012-story.html

Per Rolling Stone: (I think Dylan was one of the first ones to make a statement - before he was 'really' dead.) “It’s shocking, crushing news,” Dylan said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “I thought the world of Tom. He was great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I’ll never forget him.”

It was a good one -- nice way to strike out the last two for the win, too.
-
This is why I don't gamble - the Yankees are looking great. Cub's bats better start doing something real quick.
-
Ozzie Guillen still wants to manage - to one Sox to another. Can you imagine, Guillen in Boston...
-
Didn't Dusty pull out every excuse when he was with the Cubs, too?

Regarding Dylan and Don't Look Back (65-66 in general) - I think drugs and him being surrounded with a bunch with a bunch of yes-men had a lot to do with his ass-holeness. (I agree his comes off as a asshole). After listening to the live 66 box set - it's a wonder he survived - he was a mess.

Yeah - a Being There deluxe would be really something.

Think it may be the below that you are referring to --- I didn't catch Petty saying that - need to re-watch it. http://10point1.blogspot.com/2010/10/really-truth-is-just-plain-picture-bob.html Transcript Bob Dylan TIME Magazine Interview — Documentary “Don’t Look Back” ————————————————— Dylan: You gunna see the concert tonight? TM: Yeah. Dylan: You gunna hear it? TM: Yeah. Dylan: Okay your hear it, see it, and it’s gunna happen fast and your not gunna get it all, and you might even hear the wrong words. You know? And then afterwards.. See I’m.. I wont be able to talk to you aft

There may be a few floating around about Turner hitting one's wife, too. Of all the things that I have saw/read/heard since Petty's death, his talk/interview with Garry Shandling has been my favorite. Never saw it prior to his death. They had to be stoned to the gills or as Petty said at the end: "Two farmers on acid" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIvNe569Q9g&feature=youtu.be

yeah - a bloop hit is a hit. Cubs definitely got lucky. The starting pitchers on both sides have been stellar.
-
Maddon pulls Schwarber for a pitch hitter and Almora comes through. Quintana and Scherzer both let down by their bullpen and perhaps managers.
-
You Got Lucky may be my favorite Petty tune - always enjoyed the video, too. That was a nice piece. Thx.
-
4 errors in 6 innings - 2 errors on one play. Take Quintana out and then next batter makes it 1-0 Nationals. Not good. Schwarber better get that run back with his bat.
-
Great, exciting 9th inning in last night's Yankees/Indians game. Chapman is something else. All around, a great pitched game. Cub's bullpen really blew a great Lester start -- looking forward to see how Quintana handles the pressure, today.
-
Yeah - that was a great piece by Hood. Thanks for that.
-
Yeah - Cleveland is the team to beat this year - which I don't think anybody will. There are a few ex-Chicago players on the Yankees.
-
Watched the first 3 innings - the rest via the radio - always liked Sutcliffe in the booth - Berman isn't too annoying today. Sale definitely didn't have it today - which is a bummer. Must admit wanted Sale to win his games and Red Sox to loose the series.

Stinks that today's Boston/Houston game is on MLB.com. I sprung for SLING TV so I can watch most of the games, but the FREE 2018 Spring Training games is not enticing enough to purchase the MLB playoff TV package, too. Would love to watch the Sale/Verlander match up though. The kid's may be sitting in a pub doing their homework and eating ice cream for a while today after school.
