  1. Link to Magnaball sound-check --- pretty interesting stuff. I guess it was performed yesterday. http://livemusicblog.com/2015/08/20/must-hear-phish-delivers-45-minutes-of-improv-magnaball-soundcheck/
  2. Listening to 8/12/15 via Phishtracks now --- sounds good. The Line is a pretty catchy tune. I know I got Fuego from the library and have it on my hard-drive - I don't think I ever gotten around to listen to the whole thing, yet.
  3. Going back and forth if I want to purchase this weekend's Magnaball webcast --- it also is being broadcasted on XM, since I already subscribe, I might just listen to that feed. I agree - they have been sounding great this summer. Listened to Junta last night - still my favorite - followed by Rift.
  4. One my favorite Wilco shows was in Kalamazoo (2005) -- great town and great crowd that night. The wife and I may have spent too much time a Bells Brewery prior to the show, though.
  5. The Moma Dance has been in my head since yesterday, so I am listening to Live Phish 17 (7/15/98 Portland OR) this morning. Lot's of Phish on Spotify - which is a great thing.
  6. Yeah - that's my biggest beef with the place - especially when you bring kids, since they can't go to the concourse if you have an upper level ticket. I think it's ridiculous. And your right the upper deck is far away from the field. You can blame the lovely Ligue family for this -- right after this father and son incident the Sox instituted this rule. http://www.nytimes.com/2002/09/20/sports/baseball-2-fans-attack-royals-coach-at-game-in-chicago.html and to fit in the thread - saw my first Sanders, 2016 bumper sticker this morning in my neighborhood -- a middle-aged white female was dri
  7. Perhaps KevinG went to the Cell before they redesign it. They did make improvements. The neighborhood is coming around a little, over the last 5-7 or so years. Still nothing like the north-side - neighborhood wise, but that's not such a bad thing. It's nice that a Metra train station was finally built on 35th, too.
  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/ct-mlb-home-team-sweep-20150812-story.htm Kind of surprised that this didn't happen before.
  9. Some crap head ---- he is to me what Keith Richards is to Analogman.
  10. He had the same set up (Marshal/Morgan) at the Vibes show. Pitchfork it was the two Morgans. Not sure of the other shows after Pitchfork. (Below is a video from Vibes) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsCBXA510CY
  11. I was hoping that they were going to webcast this weekend's Apline shows - but I guess they are not.
  12. Is that a whammy bar or a cord in the picture of Jerry's Travis Bean? Nice version.
  13. Keith talks about the above Wyman comments in that St. Pepper interview, too. Below is the full interview. http://www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/interviews/a36899/keith-richards-interview-0915/
  14. Yeah - his book might really set you off, then - best left on the shelf. I think Keith helped perpetuate the whole murder of Jones a bit in some of his interview over the years. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Jones was actually murdered. I know I read one book on Jones a long while ago, but I don't remember which one.
  15. Speaking of Jones - I had the below book transferred to my library - just came in today. I don't know why you let Keith get you so cranky, A-man... your Wyman bit was funny, though.
  16. I just read through Patton Oswalt's tweets (during GOP debate) --- funny, funny stuff. http://www.salon.com/2015/08/07/patton_oswalts_live_tweeting_of_the_gop_debate_is_the_best_thing_that_happened_last_night/
  17. Jeez - he doesn't like psychedelic tinged music, so be it. I am not a huge Beatles fan - but I can't remember the last time I listened to St. Pepper --- I listen to their other stuff a lot more. (Help,Revolver, Rubber Soul, White Album, and because my son loves it, Yellow Submarine).
  18. Nice interview with Mayer - it seems like he going at it on the right angle, at least. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/grateful-dead/6655956/john-mayer-grateful-dead-and-company-interview
  19. I read that an overall documentary on the Atlanta Pop Fest has played at some festivals over the years --- I think they have been trying to find a distributor.
  20. Not to mention the 1st set closer Deal -- lot's of "Don't you let that Deal go down" ending with a "We quit" out of Weir.
  21. I enjoy the latest Dave's Pick (4.22.78) more than Dave's Pick 7 (4.24.78). It is strange that he released two shows so close together, when he has so much to work with. April, 78 is one of favorite months for the Dead. Pretty loose and rockin.
  22. Jees -- the library can have fundraiser selling off their Dead stuff. It is a great disc, so is Dick's Pick 8.
  23. I wonder if Hendrix's set is as loose as the Allman Brothers Band show. Listening to each release, back to back, would make for a nice Saturday afternoon. Looks like parts of the Hendrix show was already released on that Stages release. (I don't have it.) I have been listening to the 4 cd Winterland release a bit over the last couple of weeks or so
  24. That was California Stars was indeed great -- Haynes tone fit perfectly.
