Just the three Chicago Dead shows --- man - I don't go to shows at all anymore....
-
Thought it was good, though. One of the better tunes on the record.

The Rolling Stones Under My Thumb Moonlight Mile Tumbling Dice Stray Cat Blues Let's Spend the Night Together Stones' Covers Time is on my Side Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) She Said Yeah Little Red Rooster It's All Over Now

When I read your list - I was thinking you missed Under My Thumb. Undercover is a great tune, though ---- I always think of the Atlantic City version, though - when Mick knocked over his mike - love hearing the crack/thump of the guitar on the mic. Great video, too.

Wonder if they are allowing 'open' audio taping -- I guess, I wouldn't be surprise if they didn't - it is definitely one those shows produced for a DVD release commercial purpose.

That's a cool poster. -
I would be happy if the Sunday Chicago show consisted of: 1st Set Playin>The Other One 2nd Set Eyes>Dark Star Encore: Terrapin>Sugar Magnolia (for Uncle Bo-Bo)
-
Also, read that the taper of the shows, is a girl --- take that Mr. Heartbreak ---- I kid, I kid....
-
That's cool - I only noticed them on Dime - didn't realize that Rush was allowed on bt.etree.org --- looks like the same sources on etree, too.
-
Have anyone listened to any of the recent shows -- I haven't downloaded any of them yet.
-
Just got an email, the above will be the next Garcia release--- only have "Pure Jerry: Lunt-Fontanne, The Best Of The Rest", from this run -- which I haven't listened to in awhile.

The first time I saw Wilco was when they opened for REM during their Up tour, down in St. Louis. Summerteeth is still my favorite. I was able to catch some Tweedy solo shows at Lounge Ax where he played some Summerteeth tunes prior to its record release -- I was amazed to hear the studio versions when the record came out.
-
Honestly I don't know why I asked --- Gans and Lambert talk about it on the Tales show -- I remember looking into it when I entered college in 1990 --- I never paid to participate on any forum - so I never looked into it. I guess I was just curious....
-
Curious to know if anyone has been or is a member of The Well? Always has been interested in signing up. Currently listening to Dave's Pick 14 - so far Disc 2 is really something.
-
I am sure Weir has a lot more money than Wilco does and his doc was in limbo for awhile ---- guessing it's expensive distributing a dvd and probably there is not much of a payday in the end.

What's the Deal with the Sanctity of Human Life?
calvino replied to Atticus's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
When I was kid and my mom had bunco, it was up to me to fix my dad's lunch before he headed into work (he worked mid-night's) - typically my mom said 'just make him a liver sausage sandwich and give him some chips' - I hated that. -

Is this a difference between liver sausage and liverwurst? -
Listened to the 5.7.70 show --- decent enough audience recording --- Great Lovelight --- they break into the St. Stephen melody for a while during it -- I don't recall them doing that before - can be way off, though... https://archive.org/details/gd1970-05-07.aud.sirmick.32276.sbeok.flac16 http://www.deadlistening.com/2008/06/1970-may-7th-mit-dupont-gym-cambridge.html

I brought up Scratch Brewing up a bit ago - just read that they will be up north here participating in Chicago Craft Beer Week. Amazingly my local pub (Flossmoor Station) isn't partaking in any of the events -- we really need a new brew-master.... Below is a video for the event -- nice bit about Scratch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9YLyH2lqoo&feature=youtu.be

Been watching this over the last couple of nights - wild stuff. Got about 25 minutes or so left, to watch. My baseball watching memories only go back to about 79 or so -- so I think baseball has changed a bit by then --- though I remember hearing about all the cocaine use of the early 80s.

Yeah -- glad Netflix picked up that doc --- looking forward to it. The doc came out a while ago, but they couldn't find a distributor, until Netflix picked up. They talk highly of it on the XM Tales show.

Article on the in-store performance, as well as the Pageant Wilco gig. http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/music/reviews/jeff-tweedy-brings-both-tweedy-and-wilco-to-st-louis/article_c8f1f19f-6cdf-5ac2-9090-6dbe1d636097.html -
Parts of that run was released as a Road Trip -- that To Lay Me Down is on the bonus disc. It's a good one. Not sure what the next box will be, lot's of rumors of course. The recently found Betty Boards would be nice - a few shows spanning a decade so, might be cool.

I bought the 1st Spring 90 box set - but still haven't pulled the trigger on the larger 2nd Spring 90 Box. Only 500 or left -- hoping it will sell out, soon - so I won't be tempted. I wonder if they are waiting for the 2nd Spring 90 set to sell out, before they announce their next one?
