  1. Since when is 100 years of case law "political whims"? And why is speaking his mind unpresidential?
  2. It looks like some of her sweater's fringe gone awry to me.
  3. All I can say is HURRY UP CENSUS and gerrymander these bastards out of office
  4. Many happy birthdays to you... It's been FAR too long. We need to remedy this soon
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY -- a vie en rose to you. Though there is no way anyone can compare with Lotti's wishes
  6. I was clearly in the bar at the time of their SB "victory" They were IN one though, correct? And BB, I don't think you should either. I am talking about all the many times that Montana played clutch when it didn't matter, as well as when it did.
  7. I think Joe Montana was the best at the position during his and Marino's era. Marino only won one SB -- and Montana kept the 49ers on top for so long. He regularly killed the Bears so trust me I know from whence I speak.
  8. This is like the anti-"death squad". We will give you health care services no matter your condition!
  9. You really don't have to go all that far back in history to find a story that resulted in numerous changes for the good for workers (and people) everywhere -- but you can bet that corporations would not have made them on their own, even after such a horrific event. While we surely won't see the return of working conditions like this, what legislator is going to go against special interests that can more easily help to see him ushered from office? The Triangle Shirtwaist fire
  10. Panther is older than 20. This was quite common when I was young. Ever hear "They're coming to take me away" at 45 or 72? Sublime.
  11. Ohhh Greg -- I am so sorry to have seen this. You are one of the nicest people that I have met on this board, and I was so gratified to see so many well wishers who clearly think the same as I do! Please get well and take care of yourself! Lots of love and healing vibes -- Edie
  12. No, people love Via Chicago.
  13. Wouldn't she need to know who they were in order to have a favorite one?
  14. I think you will find that most of her stuff/contributions (if you can call them that) will be scripted vs. off the cuff, commentator type stuff. No one, even FOX, would trust her to have her sentences make sense.
  15. It's clear that a 2004 tsunami-sized relief effort is needed -- which was fast and effective at preventing the massive "secondary deaths" caused by infection and disease. I hope that it happens. Here's a place to start. I would also think that orgs like MercyCorps, International Red Cross and Medecins Sans Frontiere would also be mounting major relief efforts.
  16. And just think -- this is a band no one (practically) has ever heard of
  17. I have seen this and it is true.
  18. This -- mine are. Though I like IMing as it reduces email strings. I use it during client calls and as a remote conversation tool for multiple users (we use Office Communicator). The OP is correct that it can be annoying, but I do prefer it to picking up the phone and leaving a message. I hate voicemail (leaving and receiving).
  19. Tweedy and Mavis Staples? Wow! Can't wait to hear that!
  20. I thought that body scaners have been around forever.
  21. The 2008 residency shows in Chicago were "evening with...". And they were all thoroughly awesome. This sounds like a moving residency -- even if that is oxymoronic
  22. I was in Miami a week ago; we walked past the Filmore and I thought it looked like a great venue for the boys. Seems I am precient
  23. I DVRd the game and watched this am without knowing anything about it -- wow, what a game. I agree with everything in your post -- especially the officiating. As far as Eager is concerned, he had tape on his knuckles due to stitches incurred from a previous fight that night with that one of the Blues guys (I forget which). So the league threw out his match suspension and he played tonight (and the hawks won again).
