Definitely one of my all time favorites. Wilco is the only band I've seen live more. I watched the live stream on Saturday. It was great and sad at the same time. Gordie's solo stuff is also very good. He will be missed...

Seriously... do both. If you only go to one show, when it's over, you will be pissed you don't have seats to the other one.

And I probably saw it 10,000 times before I realized the mitt was made of an "M" and a "B" for Milwaukee Brewers.

I'll be there... and since it's at IU, I will have to wear a Purdue shirt.

I have my tix for the Bloomington show. Don't worry, I've never had any problem getting tix from the pre-sales on time.

Along the same lines... I always wanted to name my band "Pete's Sake" At some point during a gig, when it's time to introduce the band, the frontman could say, "That's Dan-O... the guitarist for Pete's Sake."

One of my all time favorites, but I've only seen him solo (which I think I'd prefer just because it allows him more space to show off his amazing guitar ability). Would like to see him with the Faces Down though...

Wow... I thought I was the only fan left. It's been years since I've heard anyone mention them. And I agree... I saw them at the Metro on their HUP tour. I also caught him playing (piano) with Iron & Wine when they were on Letterman (or Conan, or one of the other late night talk shows). Don't know if he toured or recorded with them or not.

I totally agree. All the same, I don't care if they throw covers into the set list or not. I'd rather hear an obscure Wilco tune.

I didn't think anything of him in particular... didn't stand out as good or bad either way. My favorite that they've had in that slot (at least that I got to see live) is Audley Freed. As for the new keyboard player, I thought he was pretty good. I think people had a special place in their heart for Harsch and having to follow him would be tough for any one.

I just caught them last Saturday at the Horseshoe casino in southern Indiana (used to be Caesar's, near Louisville). Excellent show as usual. If you really appreciate the band, keep the stick. There's no way in hell anyone is ever getting the guitar they signed and gave to me and I'm sure it could fetch a nice price.

It will include Jay's understanding of how Tweedy wanted the intro to Heavy Metal Drummer edited instead of how Jeff actually wanted it.

Only 30 rows of seats so the lawn is not too far away from the stage. No pavilion. So even up front, if it's raining, you're wet. The setting sun can be an issue... bring shades. No permanent facilities (unless they are new this year). It's port-o-let city. Caution: If you are in the first few rows, I hope you are near the center. The seats on

He closed with Baby C'mon in Indy and opened with it in Newport... so I guess I heard him do it twice in a row. Anyway, I agree these were fairly short shows. You get spoiled watching Wilco play for an hour and a half followed by a 7 song encore and then another song or 2. But the Malkmus shows were great. Vanderslice was pretty good too. And it was my first show at Southgate House... what a great venue.

It's really good. I can't wait for the upcoming shows. Hopscotch Willie is a jam!

Just my two cents... it would be ridiculous for Wilco to pass up what might be their only chance to play SNL in favor of a show they can reschedule any time. If I had tickets to the postponed show, I would be bummed but I would understand. As for what Wilco will do to make up for it... I suggest that when they play the make-up show, they break out the macrame owl!
