http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...399C09F61B2C3DD this is a collection of several versions of Kingpin, including a 2005 version, the infamous London 1997 version, and one that appears to be just Tweedy and Bob Egan(?) - not sure about the source on that one.

Thanks - that's what it sounded like to me but I didn't have a visual confirmation. Actually kind of a relief - capo 10 is rough.

I'm pretty sure it's not that It's very possible that Jeff may not do this exactly the same every time, but I've never heard a version different than ther one Mr. Heartbreak posted.

So I was thinking.... the current system of Bit Torrent and lossless compression is a great thing, but can be pretty unwieldy for people like me who have a hard time with Bit Torrent (coming from a .edu domain or maybe a company firewall) and/or mainly listen to songs on iTunes or an mp3 player. I'm not burning audio CDs and listening to them on my hi-fidelity stereo system, and storing lots of FLAC and WAV files is prohibitive for me given the amount of space on my computer. I'm guessing there are other people like me out there. So why not forget about Bit Torrent or sending CDs in the mai

BTw, does Nels' guitar in this remind anyone else of Astral Weeks?

same notes, but it would be a pretty different sound. I would think he'd capo 8 and play it in D

Sadly not for a couple years (or more?) I remember being bitterly disappointed to go back to a show and not see her there. I really dug her vocals on a couple of the Brand New Day tracks (not to mention she wasn't too hard on the eyes). But they still rock.

I dont think I could narrow it down to 1. I own a Les Paul... that would certainly be one. I'd also add a nice '52 Tele in butterscotch blonde, a 72 tele thinline, an SG with vibrola and P90 pickups, and a fancy semi-hollow like an old Barney Kessel or the new Johnny A sig model. I dont much care for strats for some reason. -
If you have iTunes for Windows you can import WMA (I'm assuming that's what they are?) I tihnk I have these as either mp3 or m4a - will bring in tomorrow...no internet at home, no iTunes at work

Can't say I like it. Maybe I'm a sucker for the old pervasive soft->loud thing. I think I'd prefer two solos, saving the "going apeshit" until the second one to end the song.

except that version is totally wrong edit: I guess I better offer something more constructive. This is from relatively distant memory and I have no guitar here so there may be mistakes - let your ears guide you drop D --D riff--------G e--------------(3)- b--3--3-5-7---0-- g--2--2-4-6---0--- d--0--0-0-0---0--- a--0--0-0-0--(5)-- d--0--0-0-0--(5)-- notes in parentheses are optional - I usually just play the "free" G on the open strongs and it sounds good to my ears then it's I am [A] so... out of [bm] tune... with [G] you..... [G F#] [Em] the rock out part goes like this (
