Beck - Sea Change Wilco - YHF Radiohead - Kid A The Beatles - Abbey Road ...or Revolver ...or The White Album Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde

This is heartbreaking. Soon though... soon!

Really? You're lucky. Everyone on oink seems to be stuck at 31.4%. Apparently the seeder had to leave to write a test.
-
1 seeder(s), 615 leecher(s) = 616 peer(s) total hahaha fun!
-
Ah someone just put it on oink, let's hope this is legit.

I read the Harvest book. It was okay but I would have liked more detail about the recording.
-
Most of the EP feels like throwaways but the title song is really good.
-
To be fair, I never really liked either of those songs from Harvest. But probably disliked 'Maid' more cause it interrupts the "Out on the Weekend" - "Harvest" - "Heart of Gold" country vibe. But you're right, there is a good song underneath it, as I realized today.
-
Ummm I guess I just always preferred "There's a World"?

How come Palmer presidents always have jerks as Vice Presidents?

despite the name of the forum, I only just listened to the lonely 1
TCP replied to magusmachine's topic in Just A Fan
If, in theory, I was going to press the skip button on one song from Being There, it would be "The Lonely 1". It's just always seemed a little too cheesy for me. Plus, I can't stand the way it's written as "The Lonely 1" rather then "The Lonely One". -
I don't know why this record is due out in two weeks but there's still no leak. If anyone has it, I too would like a PM!
-
Did you make this?

Willywoody, I appreciate you trying to help me, but I think you missed my point (though it wasn't really clear what I was saying!). I know all about digital audio. I am in my 5th semester of audio production school! I was just wondering if "sean Patrick" knew what he was talking about or if he was just being ignorant, which I suspect he was. Analog sounds warmer yes, and recording on tape is a 1:1 representation of the wave form, but to say digital sounds like shit, is really, really, silly.
-
Ah! I just listened to it. This was always my least favorite tune on Harvest but this solo version with the different lyrics is really haunting. Also I think the highlight, at least for me, is when Neil says "I wrote this song in Vancouver" and three people applaud. Oh Toronto!
-
Yeah, I'd YSI but I don't know if that's allowed... cause it was the b-side to the Pretty Ugly Before 7" he released just before he died. It's better lyrically and it's got some cool keys on it but nothing beats the production on the album version. Double tracked drums? Heck yes!
-
Insignificance is real loud. And when I say real loud I mean "who the fuck pre-mastered it?". But it's still a great album.
-
Probably the same reason Elliott Smith took "I must make it through this afternoon" and made it "All day on easter afternoon".
-
Cool interview. Jay seems like a genuinely nice person, I've never got the hate for him.
-
I was wondering if you could tell me, why exactly, analogue sounds so great but digital sounds like "crap"?
-
China's wheat just tastes better!

The Life Pursuit is the only record worth getting. The rest is all sad bastard music. NAH!!!!!
-
Do the O'Rourke nay sayers even know what mixing is? Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is one of the best mixed albums in our digital audio world. The mixing is part of what makes the album one of Wilco's best.

Everybody Knows This is Nowhere. I also really love Harvest and Harvest Moon, I know that takes away "cool" points or whatever, I've been listening to those two albums all my life.
