  1. yeah, i was thinking about starting a separate FF thread. maybe when the album comes out in June! -justin
  2. i hate to keep arguing with you muller (you can call me an asshole if you want), but Robin Peckinpold (sp?) posted on a few blogs telling people to grab the album. he said they sent the tracks to SubPop via Sendspace so a leak was inevitable. SubPop is bound to be pissed though. I've seen links removed at their request. -justin (#1 Fleet Foxes Fan)
  3. not to argue, but i saw an interview where the guy from the band was talking about the leak and he said that it would not be called Ragged Wood (the way it leaked), but would probably be self-titled. since then, SubPop and their MySpace page are now listing it as self-titled. i've been planning to edit my Id3 tags... -justin
  4. Ragged Wood was a tentative album title. I think the Netherlandish Proverbs was from their MySpace page. I'm about 99 percent certain it will be self-titled though. that's what i've heard them say and that is how SubPop is listing it. -justin eta: now their myspace page has taken away the Netherlandish something or other and the cover and put up songs off the full-length as self-titled with a new cover. cool! >who the fuck are fleet fox? Fleet Foxes. http://www.myspace.com/fleetfoxes -justin
  5. glad to see all of this Fleet Foxes love! they are playing in DC, but only as an opener, so i figured i'd wait until the fall or something when they were big enough to be touring themselves. -justin
  6. hands down: Fleet Foxes - Sun Giant EP Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes very much looking forward to The Roots - Rising Down and My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges as well. -justin
  7. 7. you wake up in the morning and roll over and Jeff Tweedy is laying right there beside you in bed. -justin
  8. when i worked at Food Lion during college, "Theologians" used to get quite a bit of play. -justin
  9. i adore love "Leave Me (Like You Found Me)," especially the mellotron bits! -justin
  10. "More Like The Moon" is a favorite of mine as well. they didn't play it during the residency, did they? i recall seeing that they played it live only once? -justin
  11. >I always expect him to link me to a previously discussed thread that is similar to the one I'm reading. i always assumed it was a bot set up by the moderators whose sole purpose was to do exactly that. -justin
  12. i like it alright. i definitely would've rather had a studio "Let's Fight." i guess that's pretty much it for the SBS outtakes, huh? after those comments last year about a new album being halfway recorded, i was thinking we'd get another SBS sound-alike album with: "Let's Fight," "The Thanks I Get," "Let's Not Get Carried Away," and "Glad It's Over" as the half already done. guess not... -justin
  13. so my responses weren't "legitimate"? well! i never! -justin
  14. thanks for the lyrics. i hope someone who buys the disc will sendspace it! -justin
  15. lol. this is the guy that should be doing stand-up! -justin
  16. here are some tips so that you can immediately spot who you are dealing with: http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/ -justin
  17. that's what the fat cats do, yes. always out to ruin a good time being had by the common folk. -justin
  18. - corporate "fat cats" in the front rows; trailer trash in the very back. -justin
  19. quit disparaging yourself. it's making me ill. -justin
  20. no, it goes to the Heroes soundtrack story, but i mean, that was a couple of weeks ago and i think that was even the news story that sparked this thread in the first place. i'm totally going to go to a "thoughts on SBS" thread and post a link to the pitchfork story that broke the tracklisting. -justin
  21. even better than that, check these links: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/48...roes-soundtrack http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...60&start=60 -justin
