  1. Sveum was the third base coach for BOS in the 2004-05 season and was notorious for sending players home even when it was pretty apparent they would be thrown out at the plate.
  2. So the shows start between 11-and midnight? That's a long time difference between Axl's multiple trips to the buffet for the early bird special. I'd go see a matinee show for free, but beyond that, no thanks Axl.
  3. I bet Dean M. isn't even his real name. Sounds like an alias of sorts to me....
  4. Divorcing my wife ended up being one of the best things I ever did, actually.
  5. Dean M: Did you date your wife at all before marriage?
  6. Same stuff, different name. Save form the limited addition, which allows them to jack the price up a little more.
  7. How could he moderate while serving time?
  8. "The Beatles," if that's even their real name.
  9. Not for nothing, but Billy, Jerry, Phil, Keith and Donna all contributed on "Ace," which may help explain why it is a good album .
  10. The way you phrased it a couple times it almost sounds like this isn't your first time winning things on the radio....
  11. cryp doesn't meet and tell. I've met a few. My biggest gaffe was back-stage at a small theatre drunkenly mentioning to Jorma about his prominent brow. Eek.
  12. I've only skimmed this thread but this struck me as funny. I would actually expect him to be very aloof.
  13. I'd say around 4-5 tunes in the buzz was making it's way around the place.
  14. I did. It was chuckle-worthy. Maybe a slighter guffaw, even.
  15. I thought for sure this was in reference to the Phish show last Friday night.....
  16. Call me crazy, but I don't see IRDB knowing anyone named "Sara."
  17. Check out the "Visions" from spring 95 Philly. Absolutely amazing....
  18. Diddo with the amount of shows in that era. I think Vince was ok. He was no Brent. I think it's a little funny now a-days the love the guy gets because back then he sure didn't get a lot of love. looking back, it's easy to see how much he really did lift the band up for a revival of sorts. Heck, he played the B-3! Hornsby and Vince together in the transitional days of fall '90 was really nice. Things got dilapidated quickly after the 93 tour. There were moments, but farther and farther in between. I gave away my tix for the second night of 95 Giants because the first night was sadly horrible
  19. And I've said this before: that Weir has stated that 87-90 were the bands "best," or peak, years. Take it for what it is, but I agree to an extent with that. Yes, it's the post-Touch era, but they really were firing on all cylinders. This in no way negates some of the late 60s stuff and all the various eras previously (fall '73, etc.....
  20. North Carolina. Caught this, too. They only did a few of those Cali Earthquakes. Really nice tune to cover and apt, of course, for the time. I like 88-89 a bunch....
  21. What do you mean in reference to Richmond '85 and Stanley Theatre '79? I enjoy the Furthur stuff, too.I think they continue to get better and better and Kadlicek has been allowed more room to do his own thing. Maybe the venue had a shitty sound system at the Mann or something.... I'm looking forward to them closing out the Red Rocks season here in a month or so with 3 shows. Caught Weir, Robinson, and Jackie Greene 2 weekends ago, too. All acoustic and on the money. They even did a 'catfish John."
  22. I was here, too. The Phil craziness/Earthquake Space was cool. I remember the Bertha being decent, as well. And yeah, "Touch" used to be done in a slower tempo. I really like '83 versions best, particularly the one from Lake Placid (a fantastic show thru and thru).
