I watched bits and pieces. I now know what Justin Bieber looks like/sounds like. Lady GaGa has a decent enough voice that she likely doesn't need all the other crap. Bob Dylan sounded horrible. Even a baker's dozen of banjos/guitars couldn't disguise that fact. Don Wahlberg is old.

Thanks for ruining the ending. Jerk.

Too bad about the apparent brandy and champagne death mix but I don't think I could name a Thin Lizzy tune. I'm sure he was talented and all but "greatest guitarist of all time" list? Hmmm..

Why is there such disappointment over Wilco(The Album)?

Trace is certainly a more jowly album than A.M.... -

Happily retire and focus on her taxidermy career?

Weren't they working on a new album/possible tour? I guess that didn't go over well.

That's too bad. I wonder if the new music they were trying to make these days just didn't cut it., in their sets of eyes at least.

Only 7,200 to be made and first 3,000 "personalized." Too steep for my budget but quite the project. I'm guessing Mickey doesn't get a cut out of sales...

They also spelled "Bonaroo" wrong at the top of the poster. That Celtic-looking thing should be just 2 "o"s.

Good stuff, for the most part. excellent live show, too. Lots of crowd interaction. -
Oh man I thought that said "RIP Don King"at first. Phew.

'88 was an excellent year, imo. In fact, '87-89'/'90 were excellent years. I think this selection is a good selection for that year, too.

Wonder why they never looked into getting Charlie Miller on board to do some official matrix releases. Some of his work sounds better than the 'boards do.... I also think it was one of the last "Ballad"s. I caught this one and the one in Hampton. They may have done another on the West coast right after this east coast jag. I never really liked how the tune came out. Sounds flat to me. The "To Lay Me Down" is fantastic, as are the two opening tunes. Nice pick for the series, imo.

I rationalize it by their/Garcia's original policy of "once we're done with it, the audience can have it”" philosophy.

New Road Trips from Brendan Byrne 4-1-88. Great year for the band, imo: http://store.dead.ne...rips-vol-4-no-2

Huhn. Would have been cool if it was a contest type deal....A guessing game. Still, nice that they are putting some cool stuff out there for our ears.

Oh. Appropriate closer, then.

Not to be a dbag but they played it almost every show, even up to the end. When's this retirement/hiatus supposed to start, actually?

Not for nothin' but that rotation, as big as it is (and it's huge), is on the back nine (for the most part) of it's career. Not sure it'll matter for the next couple years, but you never know. -
Me too! Usually ends up being Ed Asner prints....

Fires in the fireplace Dark wines The silence that a good snowfall brings. It's almost eerie but it's not. Snow on the ground but sun in the sky=shorts and a sweater in CO , often. The Hot Stove reports/news/signings. Looking forward to spring.

Good chunk of money but BOS also unloaded some money this off-season, too. It also weakens TB (a thorn in BOS side for a bunch of years now) considerably and prevents the NYY from getting him. I like it.
