It is kind of jazzy....as has been well documented I'm a big fan of the stuff thru 74 or so for that jazz type feel and I found myself really liking this (road trip) stuff quite a bit. As far as the store...I finally got a notification that the stuff I ordered (on Nov 30th) will be delivered on the 13th. I don't get how it takes over a week for them to receive, pick the order, then ship. I can understand UPS being slammed this time of year so I don't get pissed at them, but thats just horrible treating loyal fans and customers in that way. Ah well

I think you are correct sir, I seem to remember hearing that. Speaking of Anthem, I just recently listened to that the other day for the first time in a few years. I really love that album and forget how good it is. You can just see the acid dripping of that music.

Ahhh what does he know? That's kind of funny, there are several stories like this in Dead lore. In the Grateful Dead Movie Jerry tells of a time when they walked off stage and he ( Jerry) was thinking they played like hell and he pushed Phil down some stairs because Phil was saying something about what a great show they just played. Or something like that. I dig the 71 stuff. There's not a whole lot of it out there.....

Very sad. I was down in suburban Atlanta over the weekend and went to the mall where they had a shooting last week. Seems like a lot of people loose their shit this time of year and things like this go down. Just a God awful thing to happen to all the families involved.

That was a great show, be great to see them at The Ryman again. I've seen a lot of bands at a lot of venues and for my money the Ryman is pretty much the best place. Not a bad seat in the house (unless you get one of the few that are sort of behind the balcony supports) and great great acoustics.

Oh yeah. If you were a kid in the 70's he was the shit. Same here, had the wind up motorcycle, T shirts, etc. Guess I'm getting to the age where my childhood heros are shuffling off this mortal coil

I'm really benjoying the hell out of Water For Elephants....great book May I suggest "A Prayer For Owen Meany" by John Irving? Great story EDIT: It's a bit on the heavy side....emotionally, and it may take you 50 or so pages to get into it but if you stick with it you will be glad you did. I can't reccomend this book enough, its easily in my top 5 all time

jeeeeeez....finally finished importing all 36 vols. of Dick's Picks into the ipod....lotta cd's. Next up is all the other dead related stuff, vault releases, etc. Will start on the Garcia Band stuff after that.......
