My only point of reference for two sets is Springsteen, back in the day. Man, that wore me out. I think, these days, one long set is the way to go and though I love JT, he's no BS. I've liked the longer encores and think the band might lose some momentum if they had some kind of intermission. Plus, the crowd would just get more drunk and obnoxious--at least those frat boys!

The house we're renting has no Wilco!!!! So I put on John Coltrane, Anthology, which was nice, for a while. Then a little Dylan, Blood on the Tracks, which I haven't heard in a long time. Nice, too. But still, not fully satisfying. So I went to the ipod, put on headphones, and cranked AM.

Anyone been to Victoria? It's freakin gorgeous....parts of the coast remind me of Santa Barbara, which brings back memories. And U of Vic has a bunch of bunnies all over the place. Rabbits. Really!

Shhhwwweeeeeeeeettt!!! Made my day! Easy to complain about what's missing, but really, a great selection of tunes--lots from Summerteeth (I thought ELT was a stand-out solo!!) and War on War to boot! Thank God for Theologians and The Ruling Class . . . lots to celebrate. Let's all watch it at the same time, same day, and have a running commentary--or maybe just three or four of us.
