I've seen Luke three or four times. Really good guitar player, puts on quite a show and is a super nice guy. If you guys dig him check out his wife Melisa McLelland.

Bobfrombob same thing happened to me, my friend bought the tickets for me through his credit card yet on my frontgate account, totally different names but it was accepted apparently, maybe I got lucky I guess. I have called back and got things changed though so all is good. Anyways I got row E seats 30 and 31, dead centre 5th row. So happy as I have no so great seats for the first night. See you guys there! Also people that are still looking for tickets there is still friendsfirst tickets available through Massey Hall. I believe for a single seat you can get one in row G and if you need a

Take that RA! I really like Ryan but I somehow felt the need to mess with him a bit. I know Jeff and Ryan have a disliking and I believe (don't quote me) they've badmouthed each other through the press at one point in time. Wonder how Jeff feels about Pat contributing to Heartbreaker, ohhhh no.

Everyone see that Tortoise is opening up for these shows? Not a bad opener by any means.

I really hope they do add another date as on Thursday even the Massey Hall Friends First tickets sold out, really really quickly, I didn't even get them, which I usually do with ease. I was quite worried when I missed out on the Frontgate pre-sale and then the Friends First so I basically just glad I got something, never seen Wilco from the balcony at Massey yet so it will be an experience. I'm pretty sure this is sold out for sure now, and really it seems odd that there's not a whole lot on Craigslist yet so maybe a lot of actual fans got some tickets.

I got front row Balcony seats through Massey Hall on the phone, I had quite a few way back in the gallery come up on Ticketmaster and Massey Hall online but none these good. I do figure this will sell out (firs Wilco Massey show to sell out?) and they'll add a second date.
-
Yup I just checked the site and there is a pre-sale tomorrow at 10. At least I know now that I will be able to get tickets now.
-
I got skunked out of tickets as well, I usually have great luck for these things. I was on at 9:59 and they were sold out, completely. These pre-sales have usually quite low amount of tickets and the pre-sale didn't include the two balconies (which the first one is fantastic way to see a show there). I'm bummed out but I figure I'll get some on Friday, I only need two tickets. I am a "friend of Massey Hall" and there is/was no pre-sale for us (as of yet, I am still holding out), so I guess let's hope?

Thanks folks! We are now home from tour, it was a ton ton of fun and something that was really great for the band, lot's of good things to come. Here is a video of one song that was recorded at the show that was reviewed above. Kalle Mattson - Palm Sunday

http://lonelyvagabond.com/wpmu/2009/07/28/kalle-mattson-the-drake/ KALLE MATTSON - THE DRAKE Like Wilco colliding with a sunny day, Kalle Mattson injects indie-rock with elements off-kilter folk and rootsy accents. Ringing guitars, Jeff Tweedy-style vocals, and exhibiting rock finesse to counterbalance their youngish appearance. This four-piece from Sault St Marie is a triumph of radiant energy. They definitely have their hearts in the right place. Yeah I can't even believe it, we're on tour right now and playing London (Ontario) tonight with a band from Toronto called the Great Bloomers

Just got back from our Michigan jaunt now, easily best Wilco show I have ever been to and this was my 9th. BTW we have the setlist (and a signed drum stick from Glenn, yussss) and the last song was supposed to be Kicking Television not I'm A Wheel, yes I know... Also Sunken Treasure was supposed to open the first encore. So goddamn awesome! Nice to meet all you nice gracious people! Back in a bit with more detail!

This is very very close now and I couldn't be more excited! Does anyone know what's good for restaurants or shopping down in Royal Oak or if the theatre is even downtown? We've never been. Also, I believe doors open at 7:30 and I am going to assume Wilco at 8? The last 'Evening with Wilco' show I believe was pretty long (gonna check Wilcobase now!), but anyways since it's GA what time is everyone lining up at? I'll be with my two pals (guy and girl) and my dad as some of you have met us before, odds are I'll be wearing a Wilco t-shirt, so come say hi! It's always super cool/weird when peop

There's no need to be a dick about it. Yes I do realize it goes to the "best Canadian album" but the consequences of calling it that are taking into consideration, especially what the $20K would do for the band that won. Winning the Polaris would really do very little for Metric but for a guy like Chad VanGaalen he's now able to keep making maybe a few more records because of this. Maybe what it comes down to is that I don't like the Metric album, I think they're an overrated band that owes a lot to their lead singer (just my opinion thanks), and I believe you can find equally good "hooks an

I believe that $20,000 should go to a band that will use it to their benefit, Metric does not need any more money compared to Chad VanGaalen or Elliot Brood etc. My pick for the prize is Great Lake Swimmers with Chad VanGaalen coming close.

The 10 nominees are, in alphabetical order: Elliott BROOD – Mountain Meadows (Toronto, ON) Fucked Up – The Chemistry Of Common Life (Toronto, ON) Great Lake Swimmers – Lost Channels (Toronto, ON) Hey Rosetta! – Into Your Lungs (and around in your heart and on through your blood) (St. John’s, NF) K’NAAN – Troubadour (Toronto, ON) Malajube – Labyrinthes (Montréal, QC) Metric – Fantasies (Toronto, ON) Joel Plaskett – Three (Halifax, NS) Chad VanGaalen – Soft Airplane (Calgary, AB) Patrick Watson – Wooden Arms (Montréal, QC) The two exclusions I am actually upset with

We will be opening up for them in their Sault date. -
He's been using it for the last few years, it's a Shroder (sp?) head with an old vintage (or reissue) Marshall cab.

There is no way it's a 4x10 bassman as it is the height as his AC30.
