I should never get in the middle of these arguments because I can't be relied upon to be clear headed about any of this. We see gun violence all around us, both guns that are "legal" and ones that are not and we know there is nothing we can do about it because of the strong pro-gun lobbyists such as the IRA. So I got it thrown back in my face that that IRA is okay with sensible gun restrictions when we know ultimately they are not and never propose any restrictions. All we get is this won't work or that won't work and I totally understand how people feel that laws don't stop bad people from do

Some days it must be hard to be a public figure like this and have every public thing be recorded. LouieB

Who cares? That really doesn't matter does it? The NRA wants everyone to have all the guns they can get no matter what. So get used to it. LouieB

Life is not fair. Taxes are not fair. Assessed valuation is usually less than market value. When property values go down, all that really changes is that you can't sell for more, not that your property is assessed for less. I know you know that. Well that makes sense about the Molina show. I don't keep track of such things so it only makes sense that it is sold out. Monday seems doable though. Maybe the Concord. I can't imagine it is that it will be that crowded, but then again there may be tons of scenesters. LouieB

AT this point in his career and his fan base, who would ant to hear his crappy new material when he has a ton of great old stuff. Eventually all musicians get trapped by this. LouieB

I think I am going to save my energy and go see Robbie Fulks again on Monday. Or maybe even check out the Jason Molina tribute show on Saturday. I dunno.....I may show up. LouieB

Same pressings as what? There aren't that many places where they press records so I am guessing they are exactly the same as the rest. LouieB

I may do this. Clearly these disks aren't selling that well. At some point even the current vinyl rage is going to slow down and prices are going to fall. It is a hard sell to spend $120 for these albums (even $75 is a hard sell.) since I listened to both volumes 1&2 a lot when they came out and don't listen to them any more. And even $40 for the outtakes is a bit much when the entire three CDs are $22 on Amazon. edit - even the individual LPs on Amazon are selling at $26 from the dealers. And volume 3 is selling for $24 by itself. Now it is in my price range. Glad I waited. LouieB

Is anyone going to this show? I was considering it, until work and weather beat the crap out of me this week. Also I can't seem to find any times the AD is going to be on. I don't care if these other groups are good or not, I only will make a foray to this new venue to see them and if I can't find out the time, forget it. Let me know if you know. LouieB
