One listen so far. It's good, but hopefully it's a grower. Most of the songs sound at least a little familiar which is not really a compliment. I thought that In Rainbows suffered from the same problem on a lot of tracks, but this one seems even moreso.

1. I enjoyed watching Arcade Fire perform and win. 2. I now know about 1000% more about popular music than I did 24 hours ago, which isn't saying much, but should help me answer more Jeopardy! questions.

I have often thought it would be cool to have 30 or 40 signs that say "NOTHIN" on them, pass them out down an entire row, and then start holding them up one by one down the row as they go though the nothin's on Misunderstood. Kinda like "K"s at a baseball game or "3"s at a basketball game.

Thanks Mike. I love that tune. I use it as my alarm clock tune for my phone whenever I travel. It's a beautiful thing to wake up to. Ironic that its real name is Let Me Come Home...

Since Jeff and Tony are sure to read this as they fill in the 2011 tour dates, I suppose I had better chime in. Definitely a stop in Louisville and/or Cincinnati this year is in order. Those got missed last year. Or Lexington (KY) would be even better. Ask Glen. He'll vouch for us.

I was just out of college working in south Florida. I also remember looking out the window of our building and seeing that odd shaped ball of smoke low on the horizon right after we heard about it.

I really can't think of anyone. A few bands are clunker-free imo, but not all those are great records.

I would have liked to see the Bears win, but I'm a big Steelers fan as well, and it would have made a Super Conundrum at our house. The Packers played a very good game. But I loved every minute of watching the Jets get thumped.

OK, my final bump on this one. Apparently tickets aren't selling like hotcakes; I got a "groupon" in my email a couple weeks ago for $15 tickets (for the good $32 seats), so I lucked out on that. Lots of seats left... The SCFA website lists the program as : I wonder if he's bringing the crickets this time? ed: yes, there is a NYC show on Apr 30 in Carnegie Hall...

I haven't heard any of the new album yet, but I did catch them on Leno last night and I must say I was a little underwhelmed. They played "Down by the Water". Just OK, but less than I expected. For the record, I think that The Hazards of Love is a fabulous album. Doesn't seem to get a lot of love here.

The post by Vacant Horizon that "i listen to the music so much more when it's on cd rather than on my ipod" got me thinking.. Putting stuff on your ipod is often not the same 'investment' as buying or even burning a CD. I suppose that we wind up with a lot of stuff on our 60 or 120 gigafratz devices that we put there and have never listened to at all. Ever. I've had songs come up on 'random' that I had no idea what they were. I had put them on the ipod in some big 10 CD rip from the library or whatever, and never got around to listening to some. Well?
