  1. Happy Birthday Greg! Hope all is well in the 'Ville. You should definitely go with the GregLKY thing now that you're back in God's country. Vince
  2. Listen to the residency version with Andrew Bird. Breathtaking.
  3. I suspect they play wherever Tony and the High Road folks tell them to play...
  4. That picture is just a teensy bit creepy.
  5. Who was the engineer for Dark Side of the Moon?
  6. Whatever song was playing when I got out of the car last. That generally lasts through mid-afternoon.
  7. I concur. Iroquois again would be nice...
  8. Great pics, ditty. Sounds (and looks) like you all had a great time. That was some setlist... Johnny, nice poster. That's perfect. Vince
  9. Happy Birthday B2.... (And try not to take that "grown up" stuff too seriously)... TAS
  10. This could have been handled in a PM.
  11. In the liner notes (CD booklet), on the last page, W(TA) says "Wilco are ...." (names; I don't recall the sequence) YHF says "Wilco is/was ..." (names) I smiled when I read the W(TA) version today. I, for one, am glad that the lineup is what it is, and that it's stable.
  12. So, here's something I didn't realize about this whole thing until the last Cinci show. The pose is not just a gratuitous rock star attention grabber. At the end of the pose, as he hops back down to the ground, he crashes the cymbals for that first note and then launches into the rest of the song. He's just getting a little height for that first crash. Or at least that's what it looks like to me...
  13. Good, but not terribly different / livelier / greater than the album version. Bull Black Nova, on the other hand, which is already great on the album, was amazingly incredible live.
  14. Dunder, sorry you missed the meetup. I would say that we had a lousy time to make you feel better, but that's not true. I saw Wilco on my birthday last year.. nice way to spend that. Wendy, thanks for herding us cats and setting that up. It was great meeting everyone, as always. The "VC 3rd row" had a grand time, and the energy level in the trampoline pit was good. Ditty, did you get a pic of us all? Johnny's time in the witness protection program has expired, so you can post that if you have it. The Community Service comments went down something like this : Old balding guy (n
  15. There's another thread with the review stuff, etc here. Ditty, you might want to copy yours over there. As for the venue, it was a really nice theater, and I thought it was fine for a rock show except for the curfew which apparently shortened the set list considerably. Not sure if that's a venue thing or a city thing, but that was the only sucky part. Jeff's vocals were pretty low in the mix, but I was in the pit so I figured it was just because of that. And no, I was not "Mr. Community Service". That was mighty funny, though. Here's a shot of his arm... proof that it's not me.
  16. I'm seeing that if I read the last post in a thread, then it no longer shows up in the "new content" view. It used to show up with a faded folder for the session I was in. Then after I got out of that session (ie, closed the browser for a while), and got back in, it would no longer show up unless there was something new. But now the thread disappears from the new content view, and so there are no threads with the faded folder icon in that view. I liked the old way better, if anyone is looking for feedback... Vince
  17. Thanks Wendy! We're in, 6:30 sounds good. Looking forward to meeting folks old and new. AND IT'S THIS FRIDAY ! ! ! Seems like forever ago since the presale. The band is back in the States, the board is up and running again, school's out, and all was right with the world... see you all soon. Vince
