I received my 6/12 Cinci pre-sale tickets today from FG via UPS . So, the "4 weeks ahead of the concert date" promise held up for mine quite well.

So, I heard this live last summer (Indy / Aug). I recall it having a really cool prog-rock kind of chord progression / break down in the middle or toward the end, but I don't think that the studio version has that. Does that ring a bell with anyone else?

I caved. bittorrented it this morning .. on the Ipod and a CD for the car... and I plan to listen to it a lot and learn all the songs before Cinci. So there. Feel free to join. So, the Cinci show is June 12, and looks like a one-stop warm-up for Bonnaroo on the 13th after they get back from Europe. In looking at Andrew Bird's tour, he is also playing at Bonnaroo (14th). His date prior to that is June 8 in Colombia, MD. So......... It seems only logical that AB would stop by in Cinci to have a one-night warmup with his Wilco buds before the Roo fest. I approve. Tony, call Andrea and do lunch. That is all. Carry on.

This is the first thing I thought of when I saw the cover : Camel rides. Brilliant. But apparently, the band split.

Oh, I know. I was nervous as a cat all evening. And i had a conference call back home at 9, so I was sweating that too. So I snuck out at about 10 till and got all set up, and BAM! row CC in the pit! The internet generally behaves fine here, but you never know. I saw the last show at the Aranoff, and was about in the 5th row (non-pit), which were great seats. Row B will be great. Here in China for two weeks; one down, one to go. Fascinating as always. A little trouble sleeping... Vince

I starting pinging it around 955, and got in before 10. Got third row pit dead center. I was shocked, but in a good kind of way. Actually still shocked. I am in China, so I was worried that I would be somehow identified to be a bot or something. Maybe I got the coveted "Asian Allocation".
