I do better on the "logic" kinds of questions than the pure trivia / knowledge questions. The test tonight had very few of those. Must have been a dozen on authors... Did we all have the same test? Mine started with something about a Hindu god, and went downhill from there. Also one about who was president in 1812...

I'm hopeful that "electricity" will not be on my list of things to live without this evening.

Thanks for the bump. Tonight's the night for us EST folks. I'm psigned up and psyched. Hopefully the ice storm won't knock out the internet connection... that would be most unfortunate.

That's harsh. I've not heard of a company using that approach of "act now or else...". We're going through another round of cuts right now, probably the 4th or 5th in as many years. Salary freeze this year as well. Could be worse... But we don't offer a better package for early volunteers than we do for laid off folks. I don't see the wisdom in that. It's never an easy thing to manage, but I don't get that approach.

Interesting review. I bought this last night at BB and have not heard it all the way through yet. Many thanks to everyone on the packaging heads-up. With great care I was able to remove both discs without inflicting damage... but I agree it's a pretty Crappy design on that.

Did Walt ever really leave? Or just scoot over to the other side of the island? I just don't remember if we actually saw him again in the flesh...

So if "everybody" has to get back to the island to prevent catastrophe, does Sun's baby also have to get back? Kid's in Korea now, right? Also, I thought the "Libby says hi" line was classic. That and the "can't even make fire" line were nice to see that they aren't taking themselves too seriously to have a little cheese thrown in.

After further review, I've changed my mind. My favorite really, truly is : Half of it's you, and half is me.

That's good news, I think. Yesterday's 8-hour couch marathon (including a UK dismantling of Georgia to start it off at 12:30 ) was indeed a delightful day. Great games, both of them.

Anybody know this stuff? Local stuff, but not my favorite. Kind of a cross between ginger ale and cream soda. Loaded with caffeine. Sickening sweet. Curious to see if it's well known. It's called Ale 8 1. As in "A Late One". Yeah, I know.
