Were Transitor Radio or End of Amnesia ever on vinyl?
-
oops sorry yeah 500 seats....i was a little short. Im bad at sizing up a venue. Believe me, ive been there many times.....honestly. Im sorry but i still cant believe Wilco is doing a two-night stand in Milwaukee. not that the city or venue doesnt deserve it or not worthy of it. Im just glad they've switched to the Pabst over Eagles Ballroom. No way they'd do a two-night stay at Eagles. To me, it shows that Milwaukee is improving on the music scene. The reopening-renovations of Pabst, Riverside and now Turner Ballroom has started a new era in live music in MKE. im also happy to drive 5 min

The Pabst is small but comparable to the Vic Theatre i believe. 500 seats maybe....i know a guy who works there and he said tickets are $35 and there will be an opening band. 8pm show. usually when the Pabst announces the show the tickets go onsale shortly there after so i would expect within the week hopefully. wow, im excited.

Brewers signed Pitcher Bradon Looper. i sorta like it as it puts Seth McClung back in the pen. but no, doesnt replace Ben Sheets and CC.

these releases are great news. these records should be on great sounding vinyl, a bonus from Wilco's gaining popularity and notoriety. I'll admit, i paid a good price for Summerteeth vinyl but it felt cool to have it, a rarity, collectible item at the time. now im happy it will be rereleased so everyone can enjoy on vinyl

yeah that 'guy' is photographer Danny Clinch, i emailed one day after viewing the September DVD and he said he was editing it and it was taking some time but planned on releasing it. that was a year or so ago so who knows?? -
A.M. was my first introduction to Tweedy/Wilco (obviously). I heard about Uncle Tupelo in high school (early-mid 90s) but i got AM first and then the UT albums. Wasnt much of a departure for Tweedy from the UT records but great songwriting nonetheless. It showed promise. I like the unpretentious tunes, rockers, country ditties. i know Tweedy doesnt like some of the songs anymore but im glad he still plays a lot of them. I was very happy when I got in on vinyl!!!!

I think Jason Spezza (OTT) has been disappointing this year. 18g 21as, last year he had 92 points, i dont think he will match that this year. The Sens have been disappointing too so that factors in as well. i bring this up because he is doing "jack" for my fantasy team, thats all. -
most of my memorable wilco concerts had Jay Bennett in the band, but that was Wilco in the 90s, much younger much more musically immature, they were a rocking band starting to get experimental but mostly good old rock and roll and Bennett was a vehicle for that music. once Kotche got here, things started changing, then Nels, so on....I love Jay B. But the band is different now, completely different band. more mature, more experimental, still rocking but in different way. with respect to nels, Jay blows him out of the water when it comes to the "country" tunes. But it is all guitar styles.

Richard Swift records at Wilco's loft
Smokestack Joe replied to muller's topic in Someone Else's Song
while it is an interesting thought if it happened, i doubt Ryan Adams recorded his take with Swift in the Wilco loft. -
