  2. ok, ive decided instead of buying a needle or two for my busted turntables, im just going to buy this one Audio-Technica AT-LP2DA LP-to-Digital Recording System because i can transfer songs digitally. that is a big one for me because buying the CD and then the vinyl gets expensive. confirmations?
  3. i start with these records: Time Out Of Mind- Bob Dylan - dark, brooding sounds, yet curing Elliot Smith-Either/Or -Elliot Smith - hit usually hits all the spots Pink Moon - Nick Drake - the music of this record peaceful/tranquil and drake has a way of calming you Heartbreaker - Ryan Adams - a drinking buddy Chelsea Hotel soundtrack - Tweedy/Kotche - the instrumentals put me in a self-reflective mood

  13. i have a ViaChicago coffee mug from years ago that i bought on cafepress
  14. 29 is a very underrated album. i too didnt totally take it in after listens. when i saw ryan perform a lot of those songs live, they took on a new appreciation for me.
  15. i read in the article in No Depression that Olson and Louris recently recorded an album together in LA but the release will be put on hold until the Louris solo record is released. Olson also plays on Louris' solo record.
  16. I think the version of Talk To Me on Palace 1919 is way better. scaled down...tender
  17. The show in chicago last night was absolutely amazing. the best vocal performance ever. ryan's voice was so strong full of emotion, he belted out on parts where in record it was a hushed vocal, he brought more life to songs like Blue Hotel, Starlite Diner, Carolina Rain, Dear John. I loved it, couldnt stop smiling. a true talent!
  18. i dont get the comparisions to Wishful Thinking ( other than it doesnt get played much live) maybe that is what you meant. but musically, i dont see many comparisons....
  19. id go to pittsburgh to see Ryan but maybe he'll come to the Pabst in milwaukee or barrymore in madison. last time i saw ryan at the barrymore he was eating a burrito reading his own press with his girlfriend Leona Naess...(long time ago)
  20. ok now we just need Danny Clinch to finish the Ryan Adams documentary/movie...i wonder if he has footage of the Easy TIger recording...
