  1. Jesus, these two Ryman shows are awesome. The things were shot so well and the sound was almost perfect. Second night still going on, but these are two amazing shows.
  2. Among the things that this European schedule is telling me is that we should not expect late fall tour dates in the United States. We know that Wilco tend to stick close to home around the Christmas holidays. So maybe there might be another Chicago run in December?
  3. This live stream is really great. Jason is playing the new album Something More Than Free from start to finish for the first (and according to him, maybe the only) time. The photography and sound are excellent.
  4. TourGigs is live streaming Jason's shows at the Ryman tonight (Sunday) and Monday. $12.99 per show or $19.99 for both. http://tourgigs.com/show/jasonisbell_ryman_live/ Hope this works!
  5. I'm definitely going to make a point of seeing a proper theater show. You speak with the fervor of the newly converted, which is a great place to be. And yeah, I'm a bit festivaled out.
  6. Courtney Barnett will be on CBS Saturday Morning today in their Saturday Sessions segment. The show is on from 9am-11am, but the music segment is usually during the second hour. There'll be an interview and performance. It'll probably get archived somewhere later, but if anyone is reading this in real time, turn on your TVs.
  7. I just checked my receipt to make sure I wasn't lying...er, misremembering. I paid $72.70 to Stubhub.I don't remember the exact face value, but I think it was close.
  8. Haha. You sound a little cranky, nalafej, but I have to say I agree with you wholeheartedly.
  9. It sure does sound like the Orpheum is messed up. I know this might not be an option for everyone but I thought I'd just throw this out there. I decided to take a trip from Virginia to New Haven, followed by the Port Chester shows. By the time I made the decision the New Haven show was sold out, so I used Stubhub. I found a single for about $10 over face value and bought it. There were still quite a few left at not ridiculous prices. Then I did get lucky with the presale for Port Chester and got tickets for both nights. There are still tickets available for many of the shows in smaller cit
  10. Does anyone know the presale password for today's sale of the Port Chester shows? There is supposedly a Ticketfly promo presale starting today, before the general onsale tomorrow, but I can't locate a password. Anyone here know the code?
  11. It's a deal. I'll close the thread when I get to a real computer.
  12. I ended up with 1 extra ticket for Tuesday night's show at the Capitol Theater. I was buying one for myself and one for a friend and later found out that the friend wants to be in a seated section. I will be at the show and lining up early, I'm sure, so I could just give you the tickets there, or if you'd prefer I can mail to you ahead of time. Face value plus fees, of course
  13. I ended up with 1 extra for Tuesday, 2/2 @ the Capital Theater. GA floor. I was buying for a friend who I later found out wants an actual seat. So if anyone wants a single GA for Tuesday let me know. I'll be at the show or we could handle the tradeoff some other way.
  14. If the ballot box stuffing doesn't work, don't hit her. Edit: How much better would it have been if I had said "You'll beg her not to hit you." (Damn. You only get one shot.)
  15. I can definitely see how it would seem that way, since yours was the post just before mine, but I promise it wasn't directed at you. It's just that the whole issue is sort of a pet peeve of mine, and your post brought it to the fore. I'm sorry if I sounded abrasive.
  16. This is not directed at anyone in particular, I swear, but it's something that really gets me riled up. Wilco shows are destination events. I honestly don't understand the entitlement that so many fans seem to feel when they don't get shows in their backyards. Maybe it's because I don't live in a large market, but I do not expect Wilco to come to me. I expect to have to go to them. The fact that they're playing in my city for the first time in 12 years is cause for joy, but I never expected it or felt entitled to it.
  17. I haven't been to the Capitol Theater before so just to prepare myself can you tell me are few things? Is it all reserved seating or is there a standing pit area. Assuming there is no GA pit, or if it sells out before I can get tickets, would you think it's preferable to be far back on the floor or be in the balcony? Thanks for any advice.
  18. I forgot to post this yesterday, but I saw Chuck Prophet for the first time last night at a house concert under a tent. I wasn't that familiar with his work but I loved the show. Strong songs and performance, and he couldn't have been more charming. I highly recommend seeing him if you get a chance.
  19. My white vinyl came today too. Oh my, so pretty.
  20. Anyone interested in a single for Pittsburgh, 5th row center balcony? Pretty much dead center. I thought I was buying 5th row center pit, Row EE, but it turns out it's Directors Circle row EE, which is the first balcony section. Still an excellent seat if you like balcony, but I don't, so I'm trying to sell this. Total including fees was $62.75 and I chose the print at home option. I'd be willing to sell for $50 total. Really, this is an excellent seat. The only reason I'm selling is that I don't want to travel all the way from Virginia to sit in the balcony. But if you're local this would
  21. I got 8 tickets for The Norva show in line at the box office. There was a 4 ticket limit but I brought a friend. I will have to recalculate to make sure how many of these are spoken for but there could be one or two left over so if anybody wants then contact me here and if I can spare a ticket or two I'll gladly resell to you. So sorry everybody is having problems. I know you just feel like tearing your hair out.
  22. It's not an entirely unselfish offer, you know. I want their Norfolk show to be awesome, and as we all know, "half of it's you, half is me." I can only yell so loud--I need collaborators!
  23. That was Bob Lefsetz. And I'm sorry, Carrie. It sounds like you're not having luck so far. Come to Norfolk! I'll pick you up tickets tomorrow morning at the box office. I'll even put you up in my messy apartment.
