  1. Best birthday present - I know! - would be to vote daily for OTM to go to Las Vegas! I hope you win!!!
  2. This is pretty dang cool! Thanks for posting it. I was not aware he worked in education/admin/media relations for his day job. I've seen a few shows at the Hideout and Tim's introductions are bigger than life!
  3. Hey, when there's kids involved, naps are rare. So I'm glad you got one in on your birthday!!!
  4. what a great birthday! excellent gifts too
  5. Don't forget the "indie pimpin'" style (that's how Spencer described it anyway ) at our living room show last month.
  6. Aw, well I guess Jay Ryan's an okay substitute. But to be honest I am a little disappointed because I was dying to see another j4l/jt creation. Maybe we'll see some posters this spring/summer? Hope so! BTW, Johnny I love your new paintings.
  7. Woah, what an incredible evening you had! I love reading this thread! Especially the new album comments! Johnny: Poster pix? ... It's a pretty safe assumption all of VC is dying to see what you created! So I'll grovel first ... pretty please???
  8. nice post rider. I'm also looking forward to hearing this. Glad the title is revealed ... "American Central Dust" Now we just need Wilco's new album title! What exciting new releases await us fans!
  9. Sorry Panther - I had to fix your headline because it insinuated the tour had been announced (it has not) and that Toronto was not on it (??? ... it hasn't been announced yet!). Have patience. You KNOW Wilco will come back to Toronto as soon as it fits their touring schedule. I'm sure your city is a primary market for them to perform in.
  10. This is good news. I had planned not to go. What about tickets at this late date? Any help on that info would be appreciated.

    Wilco Vinyl

Jeff mentioned something about it being a quality issue at the Barrington show a couple of weeks ago.
  12. I hope you have a fun day today Leo!
  13. http://www.myspace.com/birdyonthemoon I found this the other day when I looked at Wilco's MySpace page. I never heard these songs before. I like what Pat contributes to Wilco a lot and IMO as a multi-instrumentalist he is essential, especially to the live show. He would be sorely missed (... any of them would be missed by me though!) ... plus Jeff thinks he is cool. (he said so at the Valentine's Day solo show at The Vic!)
  14. bump! Today I have added my in honor of your mom for her excellent portrayal of the long-suffering shampoo provider.
  15. links were removed ... sorry
  16. Have a great Saturday birthday ... those are always fun!
  17. Me too! OTM/John - yours is the best IMO anyway. Good luck!!!
  18. We'll get to hear it for ourselves soon enough. I'm more interested in what the driver decided to play for Jeff on the way home!
  19. We've come a long way, baby! Hey, everybody's got their own way to listen to music these days, and it's all good. Although, I'm pretty glad I don't have that cheap little record player anymore. And don't you even try to take away my Bose noise-reducing headphones, man! Now that's heaven to me!
  20. I'm hoping for something more than this EP from Blue Giant one of these days.
  21. I was an abstainer last time around for SBS, and I was so glad. I even received the preorder and had to wait a few days until I had unintterupted opportunity to listen with 100% attention and the best sound quality available to me at that time. I don't know. First listens to non-soundboard live recordings on low-bitrate MP3's is sort of like viewing the Grand Canyon from your car with dirty windows. It just isn't how I prefer to hear the newest album by one of my favorite artists. I don't mind too much hearing them live before they're released, but I also would be fine not hearing them,
  22. Wow, what a terrible temptation to those who want to wait and hear the album first. A huge spoiler. I am soooo not listening to it. But I'm old school ... I will wait for the real album.
  23. You have to realize Graboff tells bad jokes intentionally. He knows they're bad, we know they're bad, that's what's funny. Sort of the same bit as singing happy birthday to SpaceWolf every show!
  24. Well, there is just no end to how many ways this night was an amazing experience for me, and for that I grateful to the generosity of the hosts Ken & Stacy for inviting us into in their home as well as their generosity to both Letters To Santa and Old Town School of Folk! - and of course to Jeff & Susan for all they give of themselves, Jeff especially since he was not feeling 100%. But hopefully the mojo from adoring fans (and a bite to eat at break!) helped a tad, because no doubt the good vibes were in abundance Saturday night in Barrington! The bliss, the glow, whatever you want t
