  1. Niiiiiiiiice! Now I'll do everything possible to hit that Bloomington OR show.
  2. John Doe http://wilcoworld.net/tours/index.php
  3. Johnny, these are so beautiful. I love how you made the 5 posters' designs intertwine ... the branch bending from day 3 to day 2 ... the guitar design spread across all 5. I know there's more hidden imagery but I haven't unrolled mine since getting back home. I'm sorta speechless again. I just love them! Ahhhh!
  4. Hasn't happened yet. It's tomorrow. I believe it's a live stream. I sorta doubt they'll be making it available for download. Anyone know if they've done that in the past?
  5. We were lower center balcony again last night ( thanks to a certain sweetie VC'er) and the sound was lower than day 1. And yes, it did get raised at some point mid-show and I had to use the earplugs again, which I don't mind at all. I don't go to any shows without them. These two shows have been amazing. At the times in the past when I have had close-up reserved seats, being that close is really exciting and so in-the-moment, but I also really enjoy being able to watch the band from the balcony because you see all 6 of them equally well at each moment (albeit from a distance) as oppose
  6. Louie, I think you got your wish. 2-16-2008 Riviera - Best audience-induced encore EVER!!!
  7. Tuesday's show, and I think it's WXRT
  8. Lucky youuuuuuuuuu! Have a great weekend in Chicago!
  9. I love you Speed Racer because you put into words exactly how I feel on this topic. Go to the show, meet the band when they most graciously avail themselves to you after the show, but leave them alone in private time. We can geek out pretty much all we want here at the forum, but some of this is IMO (and I'm not alone) crossing into creepy/stalker/entitlement territory. And that's wrong. Other similar threads have been closed as A-Man rightfully pointed out, and for the sake of continuity, I'm putting this one to bed. And I'm going to bed, too. Hopefully I'll dream about tomorr
  10. turns out he did add a couple of dates - 4/18 and 4/19 - Buffalo & Toronto respectively - see first post.
  11. Happy Day Hodie! I thought of you the other day when I was watching on ABC.com the debut show of "Eli Stone" and a Jon Brion number opened the first scene!
  12. Classy. Actually, all of this thread. Classy.
  13. Just so you know, there ARE pit seats at Lakewood, maybe 3 rows of chairs right in front of the stage, and they are triple-letters. I had 2nd row pit seats for Ryan Adams last October at Lakewood, and they were BBB. http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/41258/4894
  14. I've usually seen a disclaimer of sorts posted on the doors to the venue when an event is being videotaped. Something like, "if you enter this building for the concert, you agree that your image might get used in a video, and you're okay with this." Or something more legal sounding. So we should know before we enter.
  15. ahhhhhhhhh! This is great! Thanks Marijn for the tip!
  16. I'll see you next week, birthday girl! Hope you've recovered from your wild partying and are ready to start all over again!
  17. ESue, that's a nice one of him, and different being that it's not the usual black/red/white thing. Bryan Ferry
  18. from http://www.downtheoubliette.com/news/news.html I sorta love Okkervil River. The second song is amazingly beautiful IMO. Ukul
  19. Thanks, willywoody ... I did too. Got this today from his wife. If anyone wants a copy of the .pdf of the program from the service, send me a PM. It was very nicely done with pictures and history commemorating his life.
