Does anyone know which agents are selling for this? I might just cross the new border to get to it. As long as the Queen ain't there. What do you mean, it's 'not a royal command performance'?

I have it on good authority that the album consists of just 5 new songs and 15 remixes of 'Please Be Patient With Me'. This song reminds me of John Lennon for some reason though...

I totally take that on board. But essentially we were ripped off as we did not get what we paid for! The guy obviously knew he didn't have spare accommodation when I booked. He lied to me, telling me 'I told you were were sold out when you booked!' - well do you think I'd pay you money to stay in a hotel that's sold out? He must have also lied to the Solid Sound people - advising them he had spare rooms when in fact this was not the case. Given he knew we were coming 3 and half thousand miles for that weekend, he was pretty sure we'd have to take his poor 2nd substitute. In my country it

Hi Londonist, Mrs Queenie and I were there last year from Scotland. As the others note, forget trying to get accommodation in North Adams, but Williamstown is good and the free shuttle buses make it relatively painless - you won't miss out on anything. However - and this goes out to all VCers - DO NOT BOOK THE WILLOWS INN. I booked there last February when Wilcoworld noted they still had availability. They insisted on full payment up front of over 600 dollars for three nights. Given this was a special trip and they seemed fairly close to NA, I decided to take the punt. When we turned u

Foxygen are so musically derivative that I confidently predict their next album will feature twinky eyed folk song, whilst dressed in tweeds, with posh boy accents Personally I hope Beth Orton doesn't turn up because her music is boring beyond belief and she still owes me a merchandise fee from 2007. However this could provide more time at the beer tent. Hmmmmm....

Low (presumably Alan Sparhawk) on Twitter, answering a fan query on why they weren't playing Boston on their next tour, said it was because 'think that we are playing the Solid Sound Festival' (sic) Oh yes...

''Glenn was about the only one who seemed to "rough it," wearing neither a hat nor jacket.'' What a man. But like all us drummers, he generates total light and heat.

Yes a great show to finish off The TWL tour: Jeff: we've played 700 shows since the album came out' - er Paul please check this stat... They were pretty loose as befitting an end of tour show and spirited on by a packed house brought out all the big tunes early in the set, to allow lots of nuggets through the rest of the show. The run of songs from ' Ashes' thru to ' flowers' at the start of the encore was especially brilliant. In a personal note, it was great to catch up with Heike and Samuel 70 once again and hopefully, with a bit of luck and a large overdraft we'll form part of the Euro

Good solid show in a fairly anonymous venue which was pretty full. Fair play to our German friends though, on a Monday night they rapturously received the band and although we were previously told the show would be over at 11pm, it eventually came down at nearly 11.30, so just under 2 hours 15 mins. I'll leave younger minds with better memories to detail the whole set, but one song that got a rare outing was 'what light' and a particularly venemous version of ALTWYS early in the set was greatly received. The support by Ozark Henry, I have to say, was one of the worst mismatches I've ever

Yes - just genius translation. For anyone who enjoys the strangulation of the English language, I recommend: http://www.engrish.com/ for a daily groan.

On the Road: The Hazey Janes take to Europe with Wilco
50footqueenie replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Just A Fan
Bloody Dundonians!! Mrs Queenie and I know a song about Dundee (and not in a good way as it relates to a certain Perth v. Dundee footballing 'dispute') The Hazey Janes are a pretty minor act hereabouts, even though they've been on the go for a number of years, so god only knows how they got those gigs. But I'd rather see them in comparison to what it looks like I'm going to hear of Ozark Henry. Sorry Samuel. Sorry Belgium... -

Ahhh but how we miss the personal touch! Germany will not be same with you - or Pillowy Star - but we'll try to make sure you are there 'in spirit'... -
I was hoping for more gigs too, but I doubt it now, given they've just done four European festivals this weekend past and there's only about 10 weeks until these dates are due.

I'm intrigued - what exactly is a 'Wilco peccadillo'? Is this a Welsh thing? -

Lotti - you stand accused of the promotional selfs! When I click on my google translate the aforementioned link comes out as: 'Wilco hacks in the finest: Two hours and not a budding second. Nitrocellulose is a large rock, in as many ways. When Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver visited Annexet last fall they drew a full house both of them, 3 500 people. Wilco is one of the godfathers of this new generation of Americana bands, but has never hit as wide, crazy how respected they may be. Although it is less than two years ago they were in Stockholm last but Wilco "just" pull 2000 is probably not -
I believe he is - we have a Euro fan symposium around the Brussels dates at least! As 'The travelling secretary' I await rendezvous instructions by pigeon post any day now...

Dear Santa, Can we please have this set list played during the European Tour 2012, specifically during March 2nd, 3rd and 5th. I promise to be good, to not cast out bad oaths, keep my teeth clean and obey the restraining order. Get it up you big man! Yours faithfully, 50footqueenie (Message Ends)

Oh I think there are 2 legends to look out for in those closing frames! (And thankfully they didn't pan further to the right in that clip...)
